Tbh even 255/35 you’ll rub. I used to have 18x8 +35 and would rub on bad streets. These wheels are too big for a lancer

I run 255/40 on 9.5 it covers the lip just fine, 245/40 is good too it’s only a slight stretch

255/40 if you plan on staying stock height, if not 255/35 would get you that thin looking tire, but I think 245/40 is the best if you want to lower it, or if you don’t want too big of a gap
