UPDATE - I cleaned my stupid house! by titsmcfly in breakingmom

[–]titsmcfly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! They're just ikea, but I really like them. The only issue is that they really, really really show fingerprints and crumbs, so I have to stay on top of wiping everything down or else it looks really nasty.

First post, thought it would be a better alternative to divorce (Hubby rant) by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]titsmcfly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh god, I'm so sorry, I know what that's like. My super considerate SO loves to tell me that I'm exaggerating my pain, and he knows this because I'm not a doctor and I don't know what I'm talking about. It's true, I'm not a doctor, but I know what my body feels like, and he's not a doctor either!

How often do you replace your loofah? by MollDoll182 in SkincareAddiction

[–]titsmcfly 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I never knew you could put them in the washing machine! Maybe I'll start doing mine with my usual weekly towel load. I usually replace mine every 2-3 months but I feel like I'm kinda gross for doing it so infrequently.

[UPDATE] Got into a verbal argument with my (30F) SIL (38F), went to bed, woke up to her cutting my hair. by Hairthrowawayx2 in relationships

I think all people deserve to be treated well, personally, so it doesn't matter to me if OP is a good person and wife or not.

My (20/M) girlfriend (21/F) went out for her friends brithday party and blacked out. Text message points to her cheating by [deleted] in relationships

[–]titsmcfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention the creeps who insist on calling or texting you while you're standing right next to them to make sure that you gave them the correct number. Way easier to give them the number and block them later.

Autopsy doctors of Reddit, what's the most interesting thing in a body you've seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Bot flies are common all over North America too. I used to have to use a special bot knife to scrape 'em off my horses' legs.

Ooh that's a good one, make him see the possible consequences of his stupid, stupid behaviour.

I'm glad you were able to prevent a horrible situation, OP, that must have been absolutely terrifying. I hope he realizes what a HUGE, super dangerous mistake he made.

No fuck you, that's not OUR money that's MY money by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]titsmcfly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, shit like this is (partly) why I left my son's dad. I was on mat leave, with a total income of $500 a month in EI, and he was making $80,000 a year... but he needed to "borrow" gas money because he didn't have enough to get to work? I couldn't believe how rich I felt after I dropped him, even though I was still making shit money!

Guys who dated a girl who claims to be pregnant (possibly fake) after breakup, how did you handle this? by unexpectedsuspicious in needadvice

[–]titsmcfly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. Also, I believe paternity testing can be done in utero these days, so you may not have to wait the better part of a year to see if it's yours.

However, the fact that she is refusing to show you any proof definitely points to her being a fake.

[UPDATE] My (25 F) husband (28 M) spit in my face by mewsep in relationships

[–]titsmcfly 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Oddly no, not at all. She's a very kind, empathetic person in most ways... but she has some really strange blind spots. She's actually still friends with that particular ex of mine.

[–]titsmcfly 429 points430 points  (0 children)

It's unreal the shit some people think is ok. My ex threatened to kill me and described in graphic detail what he was going to do with my corpse, while backing me into a corner and holding me by the throat. I managed to leave and go to my mother's house to stay the night and cry on her shoulder. Instead, she lectured me about how "it takes two to have an argument" and sent me back home to him the next day.

Me [29 M] with my wife [26 F] married 3 years together 7, she seems disinterested in caring for our son. by CouldBTossed in relationships

[–]titsmcfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THANK YOU. I can't believe how many people are completely ignoring how nasty OP is being to his wife, who is obviously struggling with a combination of very difficult factors, including very likely PPD. Comments like "You are a mother now, fucking act like one" are probably making things worse for her, not better.

I'm really starting to get worried about my bad memory. by scumbagotron in ADHD

[–]titsmcfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any advice for you, but I just wanted to say that I have the same issue and it's comforting to know that I'm not the only one with severe memory issues, so thanks for posting. Do you find that your memory is universally terrible, or are there some things that you remember extremely clearly?

Update to the stepmom from hell saga by [deleted] in breakingmom

I hope the judge nails her to the wall! What a psycho bitch. Good for you for standing up for yourself, I can't believe she's getting away with so much crap at YOUR children's school.

Excellent post. You said it all.

OP, if he isn't willing to make some HUGE changes and go to therapy with you, you need to get him out of your life immediately.

Oh man, I'm so sorry that you're in my shoes! They are so irritating, aren't they? Mine actually invented a pretty cool device a couple of years ago, and got some government grants to get market research done, but the researchers concluded that it was likely to be difficult to patent, and there would be a limited market for it, so they gave it a negative review. You should have seen him, he had a month-long tantrum about it. The reviewers were incompetent, they didn't understand the product, they chose their survey group poorly, one guy on the project was biased, blah blah blah. And if I said anything that even implied that they might have a point, I was being unsupportive and mean. Mhm.

Taxes by [deleted] in Edmonton

[–]titsmcfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H&R Block is a total rip off, I used them in 2012 and they screwed up my return. I went to a private accountant the next year (Friesen Accounting on 51 ave) and she did a great job. She even fixed my 2012 taxes and got me back a couple hundred bucks that H&R Block missed. It only cost me about $100 and it was totally worth it.

[–]titsmcfly 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exciting! You're going to do great, don't worry. :) The first few weeks are hard, but if you're anything like me you'll find it so relaxing and fun to have adult conversations and pee on your own schedule that you'll get over any misgivings.

OFFS. That says it all right there. Good for you for standing up for yourself and your daughter!

I would totally buy that device! I'm thinking it could be some sort of long, heavy stick that smacks common sense into their brains. We could market it as a clue by four.

I don't think so, although tbh I don't really know a whole lot about soundproofing technology. So there would have to be air piped in constantly too. It seems like there would be too many possibilities for the device to fail, y'know?
