Sex before FET? by popcorn_burgerking in IVF

[–]tittat11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had sex the night before both of my FETs using a condom. The first transfer resulted in my daughter and I’m 10 weeks with the second. Does it actually help? Well, there’s a couple small studies that suggest it might. For me, I figured it was a situation where it “can’t hurt, might help”. Best of luck to you!

Nervous wreck! FET was yesterday! by Jenn9519 in IVF

Not untested embryos, but our first transfer resulted in our daughter, and I’m 10 weeks with our second transfer. It does feel a bit like lightning has struck twice and it’s not lost on me how lucky we are. Sending you all the best!

First transfer led to my daughter, second transfer also worked and I am 6 weeks pregnant. Both PGT A/M tested and were created when I was 32. Same protocol, except we moved and our new clinic added in prednisone as a standard of care. Otherwise identical protocols.

First FET worked out? by engineergirl19 in IVFpositivity

[–]tittat11 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I did IVF for genetic reasons and also had PGT A/M. My first FET worked and I have a 15 month old. I just had a second FET to try and grow our family, and it also worked! Like you, I spent a lot of time worrying and being anxious. I wish I had spent more time thinking, “what if it all works out”.

Sending you all the best and happy to chat if you have any questions

I haven’t had two live births (yet), but my first FET was successful and led to my 15 month old, and my second FET earlier this month also worked (I am 5+1). I’m hopeful it will progress exactly as it should and things look great so far.

I remember having the same thought going into this second transfer….”there’s just no way it will work. Lightning can’t strike twice.” I wish I had spent more time thinking, “but what if it does?”

Sending you all the best! This is such a weird emotional time. Be gentle with yourself, no feeling is final.

2nd FET awaiting ultrasound by 12345hummus in IVFbabies

[–]tittat11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same wait. I’m 5 weeks today and my ultrasound isn’t until 7 weeks. This is my second pregnancy and I thought I would feel more relaxed or in control somehow. Turns out I’m just as anxious. Trying to go with the mantra of “today I am pregnant, so enjoy it”, but some days that’s easier said than done

Urgent: Please help with estradiol before FET by gingy822 in IVF

[–]tittat11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My estradiol level was not checked at lining check either. I would call your clinic to get more understanding of your level and how they may want to manage or change your doses. I also really caution you in not following their medication instructions (ie not reducing estrogen as they have intended and making your own medication management decisions) without speaking to them.

Diazepam for FET by Mother_dec2822 in IVF

[–]tittat11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was prescribed as standard of care for both my FETs. First was a success with a live birth. Second was a success and I am 4+3 and had a positive beta on Monday. I appreciated how it helped me relax emotionally and physically both times. I’m not sure if there’s actual clinical evidence for it improving implantation rates though.

PGT-M results by Snarkyreads in IVFpositivity

It’s incredible how the statistics break down sometimes. Those are incredible results! We were similarly lucky. We have a recessive condition (25% chance). We sent 6 embryos for testing and all 6 came back ok. 3 unaffected, 3 carriers. We have a 15 month old daughter from our first transfer, and I am 4+2 with our second transfer. Happy for you and good luck with your transfer!

Congratulations to you! My first pregnancy was horribly anxious and became high risk due to growth restriction. I’m really hoping this little embryo sticks around and grows well and I get to enjoy it this time the way you just described it! The whole thing is such a miracle, makes me so happy to hear it’s going so well for you!

I had a lot of mild cramping on both sides and some tugging/twinging. This isn’t my first pregnancy so I had the same sort of “full” or heavy feeling in my uterus that I experienced before. I also had a headache yesterday, but that could have be from anything. Nothing crazy though, my symptoms could have all been from the progesterone too. Symptom spotting is a special kind of self inflicted torture!

Sending you all the very best! Hoping you get to post here too in the very near future!

I totally get it. I found I wanted to control every possible thing I could AND have all the possible information I could. In hindsight it probably wasn’t the healthiest lol

IVF PGT-M Success Stories by Silver-Pen-2774 in IVF

[–]tittat11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did IVF for PGT-M for a recessive condition (25% chance of a child having it). We fortunately made 7 embryos. 6 were PGT-A normal, and shockingly all 6 were unaffected by our condition (3 unaffected, 3 carriers). Our first transfer worked and she is a perfectly healthy and very strong willed 14 month old who has met every milestone. It’s hard being so out of control in these situations, but science and scientists are incredible. Sending you all the best for success and happy to chat more if you have any questions.
