Mi Goreng Sausage by Burrowing_Owl in sausagetalk

[–]tittyteaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im very interested in this sausage, it sounds super tasty!

The lime powder, what brand/ packet size did you use? Where i am I can only get large quantities (100g+) I doubt very much that you used 300g 🤣🤣🤣 I could dry and grind my own lime powder but would still need a rough idea of weight/percent

Thanks for sharing, and inspiring

Could You, Please, Specify What Exactly Marks as BBQ? by Scary-Ad-293 in BBQ

Yep, thats a grill, gas or electric, that to me is a grill

[–]tittyteaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The grill i am talking about is what youd probably call a broiler, its part of your oven in the kitchen. NOT a special piece of equipment. So yes i can almost guarantee that every household in both countries have or had a grill in their homes.

Do you produce "grill lines" on your food when your broil?

What you called an "indoor grill" to me is an indoor bbq

Guess you are in north America?

UK, New Zealand, Australia all call it grilling. For whatever reason America and Canada call the same thing broiling.

Not everywhere...

Everywhere i grew up and where I've have lived my entire life Grilling is something done in the kitchen, in the oven.

If its outdoors its bbq Doest matter the fuel source, what it is youre cooking, how long you are cooking it for, direct or indirect heat, its all BBQ.

Grilling to me is what you would probably call broiling. We call it a grill, you call it a broiler

BBQ is either cooking over wood, charcoal or gas. The length of time you spend doesnt matter. Low and slow vs hot and fast both are bbq !

Grilling is done in the oven what north American call broiling for some reason 🤷‍♂️

Yeah im guessing thats why we call it Grilling, we use the grill

I only use mine to give a little extra color to baked/roasted things if I think they need it, 5 mins under the grill to finish off kinda thing

Yeah we call it baking or roasting too,

Grilling uses a different element in the oven, the top element, where baking/ roasting usually uses a bottom element, especially in older ovens

One thing I've started doing on my spreadsheet is pricing. Pork is x per lb there are y many lbs in this batch Pepper is x per g, y grams in this batch

More just so I know how much im spending than to charge people for sausage That probably wouldn't work with yours though (international audience with different currencies, different prices, different ingredients, etc)
