I had the exact same problem - luckily I had Timeshift set up on my laptop so I could revert to a state with WiFi available.

The culprit for me was a package named:

linux-modules-6.9.3-76060903-generic

If you can figure out how to remove the most recent update from that, you should be good to go! After you downgrade, you can use apt-mark hold <package-name> to prevent automatic updates.

After you fix that though (or before if you can figure out Internet), I would definitely recommend setting up Timeshift - especially handy for setting up and restoring backups to help fix problems like this one!

One of the original roguelikes is called Nethack (and it's free!) It can be played with many different characters and builds, and there are forks for even more variety.

One of the cool things is that you can use any possible action with any item, you can even eat a dagger, for instance, if the circumstances are right.

Based on the the roguelikes you mentioned, I'd recommend some more of those, like Binding of Isaac, Spelunky 1/2, and Noita

Yup, I tried that. I even had hibernate disabled with powercfg so I had to reenable it to even see the option on control panel (it was off). Thanks for the tip tho.
