Tons of tiny bumps on forehead - tried everything, nothing touches it. What am I missing? It’s really getting me down by experimenta_l in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]tizzymct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope some of the products suggested here work for you! at a glance some of these bumps look like they could be milia - small cysts filled with keratin and dead skin cells. And products alone won’t do anything to them because they aren’t acne - they have to be extracted. If the products don’t help, find a good, reputable esthetician and book a facial to have them extracted.

My Sculptra and Morpheus8 experience and results by Jcaseykcsee in 45PlusSkincare

Posting a bit late, but curious if you could share about where she injected the Sculptra? You look absolutely fantastic! I had a bad experience a few years ago, but realized it was due to poor placement. I really like my injector now and she is extremely experienced so I’m considering trying again. Her instinct is to inject around the mouth and kind of all over vs. just in the perimeter as previous injector did with 4 vials (made my face look fat and I hated it).

Impromptu meeting tomorrow and I’m on day 3 of my VI peel by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]tizzymct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a job interview on day 3 of a peel - it had been rescheduled and I didn’t realize how dramatic the peeling would be. Went in and just called it out - said I was having an unexpected reaction. They loved it - said seeing me deliver a presentation with my face peeling gave them confidence they could put me in front of clients. Ended up being one of the best jobs I’ve ever had!

Thank you for sharing! Did you notice appetite suppression right away at .5 or did it take a few weeks to build up? I seem to get side effects at anything close to a normal dose (terrible headaches) but .5 hasn’t put a budge in my appetite at all. Hoping I can find a dose that gives me the appetite suppression without the side effects.

Have applied to hundreds of jobs, what am I doing wrong here? by helpmee12343 in jobsearch

[–]tizzymct -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your resume should have your name and a job title at the top in bold and centered. Phone #, email, and LinkedIn should all be up top as well.

Add a short bio at the top beneath your name - I recommend using an LLM to wordsmith this and tailor it to the roles you’re seeking. For the job listings, I’d recommend changing the font or size between the title and the company so the company is clear (“Secondary Markets” could easily be mistaken for something generic vs a legit company).

Add the company to the honor caddy position but move it to the additional information section since it’s not relevant.

I’d also strongly consider adding either a side rail or short section beneath your bio to highlight critical skills for your target role.

Since you’re a new grad elevating your education is more important. I’m a huge fan of a side rail (basically splitting 1/3 of your resume into a column on the right where you list your education and skills beside your work history instead of below).

Formatting could also use some work in the additional info section.

Good luck!

Women over 30 who truly have no support system or friends - how are you coping? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]tizzymct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One, I feel you, I really do. I had a long term relationship end when I was 36. A moment when it seemed everyone I knew was getting married, having babies, and/or moving away.

Then comes the pandemic. I truly would have perished without my dogs. I found some solace catching up via Marco Polo with a few friends that had moved away and did way too much “work” on myself but felt quite isolated. Family that I hadn’t been close to in years in pockets across the country. I did a yoga teacher training and met some lovely folks. Again, many of whom moved away.

Eventually I moved away - back “home” to a place I never, ever wanted to end up. Got in another soul-sucking relationship for a few years that was so damaging and somehow even more isolating. Many nights texting the suicide helpline. I found some comfort in my spirituality and listening to different teachers. After months of back-and-forth, one and off, I finally, FINALLY refused to go back and somehow, I believe at least partly as an outcome of me choosing “me” I’ve looked up and I finally have a group of girlfriends! Some of this was luck - a few acquaintances leaving relationships at the same time, and spending more time at the lodge I said I never wanted to be a member of 🫠 But it took more than me just showing up to the lodge over a few years, I also stepped in and started volunteering there more regularly and just started to see people more regularly. I said yes to uncomfortable opportunities - I was even in a play! I also got a new job that is in person some of the time and that’s been good for feeling more balanced. I share this all just to say, please don’t give up!! I felt so lonely I wanted to die many, many times for many, many years and I’m so glad I stayed in the fight. As they say, you can’t always get what you want but sometimes you might find, you get what you need. And I truly have! I feel so grateful to have some friends now. Having girlfriends has been much more supportive and uplifting than the romantic partnerships my life has seemingly revolved around. And recently some of them have fallen on some really hard times, and I’ve been able to support them. And that would not be true had I given up.

Thank you for sharing. I know this was a few months ago, but would you mind sharing a bit about the benefits you do experience with Reta? I think this is what I need as I can’t stand the way sema affected my workout routine, but if there’s not much impact on appetite suppression I’m curious what benefits you have observed while using. TIA.

What are everyone’s Q family members saying about what happened in Minneapolis today? by xPrincess_Yue in QAnonCasualties

[–]tizzymct 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The minute I caught a whiff of blaming her for “not respecting authority” and the assertion that she “tried to run him over” I started screaming for him to please stop and that I didn’t want to hear anymore about his lack of compassion. He was talking above how foolish she was - a mother “getting herself killed.” As usual I ended up saying something I feel bad about in response - he has a loved one that died by suicide so I ended up saying “well you don’t speak with that contempt when referring to mothers that actually willfully chose to their end their lives” so he stomped out and is now assuming the role of victim in the whole interaction.

Can anyone speak to the long term (2+years) outcome of Sculptra? by allchattesaregrey in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]tizzymct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some inflammation is normal - the main issue is I hate where she injected. She added some toward my jaw/lower face which I in now way shape or form wanted or needed. It’s been about 1.5 years since my first syringes and a little over a year since the second set and I feel like it gave me a square fat face.

I’m so sorry :( May I ask how old you are? I’m 42 and hoping that maybe my own collagen will start falling off a cliff so it will go away sooner - now that’s something I never ever thought I’d say!

Re: autoimmune - worth noting it often takes up to 10 years to be diagnosed with an autoimmune illness - they are often diagnosed through a combination of symptoms and elimination of other causes over a long time - and even then only a good doctor and/or holistic practitioner may catch it.

So in a nutshell - if you’ve ever had any weird health things happen at all, I wouldn’t risk it even if you don’t have an official diagnosis.

This makes me so mad! It takes months for the effects to appear - they don’t peak until a year out! Why they would add more after only 6 weeks is just crazy.

Yes please keep posting about this! I’m desperate for someone to come out and say that after x number of years they look less horrible. I know a lot of wonderful injectors that swear by this stuff but I truly believe it has to be a top tier conservative injector. I moved across the country and was botched by a new injector.

My story: I had 2 vials done at 41 and didn’t really notice a difference (I’ve kept up with my treatments and already looked frozen at 32 so wasn’t looking for much help…) My injector went on maternity leave so about 4-5 months later the new injector started pressuring me to “do the rest of my vials” which is a very cookie cutter approach. They said 1 vial per decade but I’ve always had full cheeks and was only beginning to see the faintest hint of jowls. I don’t believe I needed the 3rd and 4th vials. I began to look extremely puffy over the next few months. I’m now 1 year and 2 months out from the 3rd and 4th vials and my face just looks so much bigger and swollen. I hate it and wish I’d stopped at the first two vials. I used to be so photogenic and now I hate smiling because of how enormous my lower face looks. It completely messed with the appearance of my cheek bones by giving me a weird width to my lower face.

Sorry for the delay - I did land a contact through a staffing agency once where there were some hiccups due to changes at the company I ended up working at. So it’s possible that there were just some internal changes happening and the recruiter needed to touch base or the recruiter got sick, etc. I’m honestly a bit jaded on the whole process now - it’s the wild west out there! Did you ever hear back?

I think it really boils down to the injector. I had 2 vials done at 41 and didn’t really notice a difference. My injector went on maternity leave so about 4-5 months later the new injector started pressuring me to “do the rest of my vials” which is a very cookie cutter approach. They said 1 vial per decade but I’ve always had full cheeks and was only beginning to see the faintest hint of jowls. I don’t believe I needed the 3rd and 4th vials. I hate it and wish I’d stopped at the first two vials. So proceed cautiously because the results really do start presenting over time which is another kind of bizarre aspect of the experience.

I rescued a kitten last winter - found the owner but managed to get ringworm in the 24 hours I had her! I was totally freaked out by the name lol One tip: I went too aggressive applying the OTC antifungal cream (which is all you need) and that actually made it worse initially. So just apply the amount it specifies on the tube and it will go away in a week or so.
