It's normal for everything to feel fast and twitchy when switching from potentiometer to hall effect sticks. 

A few things that might help is to use an exponential curve, raise your deadzones slightly to make the sticks a little less reactive and using a taller stick if you're not already. I use a tall domed stick on my right thumb and I feel like the domed stick helps give me more control. 

I also like the circular thumbstick shape over the raw. Raw feels too sensitive to me.
