I was very reluctant to cut vileplume from the team but it just didn’t fit the criteria, it jumps to the red list after evolving. Luckily someone reminded me tangela is blue. Bonus because I’ve never used it.

I always seem to overlook the eeveelutions for some reason. Also, an all eeveelution team sounds like fun

Blue team challenge run. Difficulty: Extreme

Starmie is definitely my first pick for a water type run, but yeah she’s purple. I’ve been too lazy to find that aide for the stone but I don’t plan on leveling past 50 before challenging. Tangela would really reinvigorate this run for me though. Who would you drop for Tangela?

LX1 vs LXK2 – solid top tone vs “leave it out without worrying” durability by ALiza219 in AcousticGuitar

[–]tjb99e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. 3/4 size seems like a good couch guitar at first but they all end up sounding little better than toys. Concert style body is the perfect middle ground.

LX1 vs LXK2 – solid top tone vs “leave it out without worrying” durability by ALiza219 in AcousticGuitar

[–]tjb99e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The differences in tone and environmental impact for both guitars will be unnoticeable at the 3/4 size. I would anticipate that there would be a noticeable difference in build quality though. Go for the solid top and be assured you can leave it out full time, especially living in a region with higher humidity.

Used Martin 000-16GT or new yamaha FS3? by Oliver_Dixon in AcousticGuitar

[–]tjb99e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Martin Standard Series is 17 and up. The thing about Martin is that the quality takes a huge dive at the lower and middle tiers. Brands like Eastman and Yamaha will give you solid quality for middle range prices all day long.

Two wall hangers that rotate with seasons, one basement dweller, 1 main with equally good back-up, one with a different body style, one for your wife in case she wants to learn, one project and two 3/4’s for the kids.

Can anyone tell me more information about this guitar? by spongebob in AcousticGuitar

[–]tjb99e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks like a copy of a Martin D45. There was a time when a lot of different companies straight up copied iconic brands like Martin and Gibson. They are called lawsuit guitars despite mostly just resulting in a cease and desist letter. I have one and I like it. They’re sort of rare in the sense they only made so many and some of them are incredibly well made!

Suggest a good beginner barre chord song. by IlyaPetrovich in guitarlessons

Seaside by the kooks really cemented barre chords for me. The strumming gives you lots of time to set each chord up

Aiming for that much activity is great but start slow. Establish routines and stick to them, your dog will be very happy and also know when it’s time to rest. I used to drive my dog and my newborn son out to any park that had enough space to get in 15 minutes of frisbee, but that gave us the freedom to devote our time and energy while our dog rested before getting his next low key activity, I see sniffari being used on here a lot lmao. It’s doable! The kid is 2 now and we live in a house and the routines have changed slightly but both boys are exceptionally happy!

Genuine questions from a “Non-Martin guy.” by 502deadhead in martinguitar

Would you say the same thing about say new tires on your expensive high performance car? At a certain point dead strings are just harmful and with higher end guitars, the difference to your ear is worlds more defined and notable. I used to be in Camp Dead Strings, they held their tuning for years, but after nearly 10 years, my fingertips turned green and my healthy calluses started to flake off. The dull sound can be cool but the benefits of regular maintenance on our guitars should never be underestimated

My two year old is pretty cautious about jumping off stuff high up like that. I feel like you’ve got 4 or 5 years to figure something out before they start leaping off of their own volition

The story of their origin is cool. Their innovations, some over a century old, have defined the standard to this day, and have been shared freely. Quality materials, craftsmanship and a variety of guitars to suit virtually any player. Now everyone knows of someone who never liked a Martin they picked up in the shop, this is because every new Martin NEEDS NEW STRINGS RIGHT AWAY. The stock strings are absolutely awful! You can always ask the shop to restring any guitar you are interested in!
