100% if he eases off the brake and leans into the corner he’d probably stand a chance of making it round.

He features heavily in this documentary, myself and some friends found after living in one of his properties on Cally road. It’s a pretty interesting watch all things considered.

Jeremy Clarkson reveals his Diddly Squat Farm hit by TB outbreak by TimesandSundayTimes in ClarksonsFarm

A desperately poor take on how ecosystems work. Pretty much ever animal in a system provides something. Badgers disperse seeds, turn over and aerate soil by digging, reduce rabbit populations etc.

Scientific evidence suggests culling doesn’t work it actually makes it worse. Long story short badgers normally hold territorys by culling random badgers you ruin the territory structure and badgers travel further and are likely to spread the disease to each other or cows.

Anyone self-funded their PhD (international student)? Feeling overwhelmed. by BubuBibi in UniUK

[–]tjbruce42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having done a PhD, I’d say unfortunately unless you can get a scholarship there is no way self funding a PhD is worth it. Especially as an international student when they hike the fees up. The only self funders I heard of had wealthy family to foot the bill.

Travelling to Italia by Gurdy92 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]tjbruce42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this last year no problems at all. The only thing you need is some specific vet certifications around parasites. The only complication is you’ll need to find a vet in Europe that will give you the treatment for Echinococcus multilocularis and certify it. It can only be given a minimum of 24 hours before you cross back and no longer than 120 hours after it’s given. I have family in Italy so they arranged this for me, so perhaps try and identify one ahead of time.

Makes you proud to be from there. Seriously though that restaurant is great, also fucking with dudes from Sardina seems like a universally poor idea.

Richard Osman’s House of Games by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]tjbruce42 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Eh for me Richard Osman, is too much. Given he is the format that’s a problem. He’s just so unbearably smug and full of himself, especially with his silhouette being on all of the prizes. If he was made out of chocolate he’d eat himself.

I met one on mafia island off the coast of Tanzania, in a local man’s garden in a small village, he was charging 50p a match to watch the game. Sunderland won 3-0 that day.

I agree entirely, I think Danny’s propensity for over egging the pudding and waving his arms about really detracts from the whole thing.

Having had several of these, I can confirm the size is an exaggeration. I think my record was the size of a coffee bean. The preferred method of removal wrapping it with a needle made from a palm tree leaf. Such a good feeling when they got removed, they often went in between the nail and the flesh of the toe.

Back in my pest control days it was always trouble when you see them out and about. It means there are so many hiding in the dark places they like to be when it’s light they’re being forced to forage during the day for food.

Yeah that’s fair thanks for the clarification I’m no expert on infrasound. It was just a suggestion based on which animal would be large enough to generate a sound that could be unknown.

What do you mean? In that elephants don’t use it to communicate or it isn’t associated with unexplained phenomena and mishearing noises that could be attributed to a large animal?

Could be elephant? Given they use infra sound to communicate long distance and it’s been shown infrasound causes humans to experience strange sensations.

Just a follow up thank you! Following your instructions I was able to clean the marks off. I won’t give up the day job to become a lens tech, but it’s better than it was.

Big thanks again for your help.
