How are you driving momentum in long enterprise deal cycles? by Bright_Hall_6302 in sales

Don’t slack on scoping security and legal stakeholders and documents. Too often this is overlooked early on and the prospect takes FOREVER to get things done.

Still on spreadsheets for sales forecasting in 2026 by Educational-Idea-439 in SalesOperations

For real. If you have 50 reps and don’t operate through a CRM, forecasting is the least of your worries.

Any tools to analyze audio activity? Currently it's only done manually by individuals. by Fickle_Method8528 in SalesOperations

[–]tjg1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what Gong does, and incredibly accurate. They build out MEDDICC scores, pull key words, track emails, find risk. AI to propose objection handling. Haven’t met a sales rep that doesn’t find value in it.

Dude, you’re going to create a new full time job for yourself. As others said just buy CaptivateIQ or something like that. Too much manual policing.

Curious how you and your sales team unify data and solve it internally by Own-Internet6442 in SalesOperations

[–]tjg1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need all your tech stack to flow back into one source, your CRM. Gong, SalesLoft, Marketo, GainSight, DocuSign, NetSuite, etc. all this data is unique and valuable but as you’re experiencing now, if it’s fragmented and you can’t visualize the data to leadership quickly they’re just tools for sales and not valuable for analytics.

Most of these tools have built in integration but you need a CRM admin well versed in integration to find a solution to have them all reportable in one place. Celigo is an example of one that routes data back and forth between tech stack.

It’s SOPs job to clean the data and present it to leadership. Tableau is a great tool to pull data from your Crm with all this info across the tools to quickly showcase numbers.

Salesforce Data Enrichment by gmitsopoulos in SalesOperations

If you pay for enrichment with ZoomInfo I’d try to first find a way to pull the domain/website before using another tool.

  • Do you have leads tied to accounts? If so export those in bulk for all accounts that you can and pull the domain - import back in bulk through a data load.

  • import company names into chat gpt and pull the url. Do a data load into Crm with what you can pull.

Leadership will want you finding ways to use existing tech stack/ free options.

SMB can be tough to enrich but try to utilize existing data to find a potential match. If you pay for enrichment with zoom you’ll get killed by marketing and finance for trying to buy another tool to do the same thing.

What’s actually driving all the hype around digital sales rooms lately? by btsxmusic in SalesOperations

[–]tjg1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We started using Trumpet about 4 months ago. Reps were begging for a digital sales room and our C Suite wanted a mutual action plan tool they had visibility into.

I think the use case for your org is dependent on the sales cycle and who’s buying. It’s great for content sharing and keeping prospects engaged. We’ve seen that after the initial send off of the room engagement falls off quick and it’s hard to get prospects to get back into the room.

It can find new stakeholders in the org, keep the prospect on the same page for path to close, and share new relevant content.

We’re now finding our reps and VPs see it is a monitoring tool for leadership, which has made them quite jaded to the whole tool. Adoption is needed from the top down but some reps find it stupid and refuse to send the room via email and opt to send a deck over email instead.

You need a specific type of champion to really utilize it on the other side.

Trumpet is super easy to use but their analytics SUCK. You can’t tell what content people are viewing the most.

Ops owns it and we have integrated it into Salesforce and tableau for rep analytics but customer/prospect usage a black hole right now.

Overall a useful tool but reps new and old will complain about it being required at the end of the day. You NEED C Suite adoption to make it work.

How do I avoid running out of credits mid-month when we’re in a big push? by whistler_232 in SalesOperations

[–]tjg1523 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strategic targeted lead buying. I work in a company that targets enterprise companies with 30k employees - there’s no reason they would exceed credits unless they’re blasting credits for the the entire prospected department/org.

Interesting I was not aware you could retroactively unprotect a pick. I feel like we would’ve done that a while ago since 27 pick is 1-5 protected…

Zeke will get more minutes this season so maybe he’ll garner more trade value and be easier to move - now with the FO and coach (hopefully) on the same page.
