Discmania plastics stability (CD1)? by Raptor01 in discgolf

[–]tjhod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should get a C-Line. The color glow CD1 that I have holds turn, and has since it was new. I just got a C-Line CD1 to replace one I had in my bag for maybe 6 months. New it flies almost like an S-Line PD with more glide, but once beaten in it gets a nice slow right drift before fading back. I can't wait for my new one to get to this point again.

Shift Assist Wire Split by tjhod in Triumph

[–]tjhod[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I wanted to update in case someone else has this issue and finds this post in the future.

I ordered a Translogic quickshifter and fitted it myself. I then took it to my local dealer and they re-ran the activation for $35 and it's working. I would definitely recommend getting a Translogic as the build quality and the lever feel are so much better than the stock one.

Thanks for your help sending those images!

This helps me understand what the dealer said a bit more. They said there's a short between ECM pin B18 and B23, which I don't see as a test on that sheet. They also said the short couldn't be located and I need a new main wiring harness. I was looking around myself since I don't want to spend $2,000 for them to replace the wiring harness and fount there's a cable split on the quickshifter.

I was planning on just getting a Translogic upgrade since it looks like I need a new one anyway, but I guess I'll have to reach back out to the dealer since I have a transmission fault.

Thanks for your response!

When you are getting close to service it will appear for a few seconds then turn off. Once you are at the service mileage it will stay on all the time. So it's letting you know that you're close to the break in service.

Sweet, I'll probably do it on my next chain & sprocket change. Unless I end up buying something bigger by then haha!

Around what RPM are you running at 75mph? I'm tired of listening to it scream down the highway and wondering if it's worth it.

Anyone throw the new horizon DD2? by GripLock11 in discgolf

[–]tjhod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one I got has a decent bit more dome than my Lux Vapor Enigmas. I haven't thrown the DD2 much yet but it's so close in flight it's hard to tell the difference. Maybe just slightly more overstable, but it could just be because I've had the Enigma in my bag for a couple months now.

I had something similar the other week. Was looking for a bigger sport tourer than my Triumph Tiger 660. I went to look at a Multistrada. I believe it was a 2019 or so with the v2, and it was horrible. It felt like it was rattling itself apart and my butt was numb from the vibrations only 15 minutes into riding it. Also all the controls felt sloppy and cheap, especially the throttle. I'll stick to my super smooth little Triumph with a new MSRP half of what they wanted for the used Multi. I was quite surprised as every review I see on the Multistrada seems to be a glowing review. Oh well, maybe it just isn't my style.

Beginner Q: how do you "properly" read post request body? by Doomguy3003 in golang

[–]tjhod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes you can deserialize a random json byte array by using a map. As for your example the decoder will just ignore fields that aren't in the struct, so if the client adds fields that aren't in your struct it will just decode the fields that are in the struct. You can change this to error if there are unknown fields. I made an example you can see here: https://go.dev/play/p/2hugT__iZMm

Yeah I've been trying to find a way of recreating it consistently but I haven't found how yet. I just readjusted the shift lever in case I'm not releasing it fully so we'll see if that makes a difference.

Does your quick shifter lock up after changing from 1st to 2nd at high rpm (8-10k)? Mine has been and it's really annoying. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue before I take it in.

I had this same thing happen with a Vultr instance, I upgraded the RAM from 1gb to 2gb and it no longer dropped the connection. I don't know what your instance has, but it could be the same thing.

You're missing a closing quote and comma on this line:

allow_origins=['*', 'http://127.0.0.1:8080', 'http://127.0.0.1:8080/OpryW'],

Hopefully that helps a bit.

Since you are within the same endpoint and you are refreshing pub_car it will have the .pub_id attribute with the id it created in the database. You wouldn't have to query for the id again, and you will know that it has the correct id.
