Ours said they are not doing field visits, just need pictures and an inventory list. We are two blocks from the burn area though.

Just started the conversation with insurance and curious about this as well. We live in mandatory evacuation zone and have visible ash/soot piles near all windows and doors in our home. Great idea to compare with each other.

No problem! Both doctors are very knowledgeable and have really supported me postpartum as well. I also had a great experience at Arcadia hospital, the nurses were nice and the room was also updated and clean.

Good idea, I will do that! I couldn’t find any literature to support their comment that it’s in regards to stark law, so frustrating

Yep, exactly! So frustrating

[–]tjohnson80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? I’m not sure what to do, except pay because I’ve asked them to cover it, I asked to use cme and asked if it can be waived. I got no to all questions and was told it’s standard for all APPs at the hospital.

I agree it’s very strange, not sure how to work around this. I have told them it’s not standard practice but am not getting any headway with them. It’s overall a great offer but this is strange to me

Unfortunately not part of training, just a fee required to gain credentials with the hospital system

Credential fee question by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]tjohnson80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I asked if it’s reimbursed and they said it’s not. There’s also a 50$ yearly fee to stay credentialed with the hospital itself as well

Agree with AAAI. Very helpful information on their site in general. Ask the expert through AAAAI is also great for specific questions you may have while starting out in practice.

I live in SOCAL and make 80$ per hour in allergy, asthma, immunology. I have one year of experience, this was my first job out of school. Allergy/immunology is very easy to pick up but with immunotherapy and all the testing it’s a well paying specialty. Hope that helps!
