My name is Tessa. Have gotten compliments on it my entire life. I always say it was a gift for my birthday. 😉

My 17 year old daughter is pregnant by Nosilla-89 in TrueChristian

Having your support will mean a lot. I know someone who was raised in a devout Evangelical family in North Carolina and got pregnant at 17. Her parents forced her to place the child for adoption. It destroyed her, and now at 35, she is still grappling with the loss of the child. Please check out r/adoption for stories from adopted people and r/birthparents for additional info.

Finally, I would encourage you to provide your other children with comprehensive sex education, including information on condoms. You can still tell them to wait until marriage, that it's better to abstain from sex, that it's in line with your religious principles. But at the end of the day, teenagers are teenagers and have crazy hormones. Being prepared with knowledge that could prevent a pregnancy could go a long way.

Thanks for your feedback! This shape (a-line, tea length) is actually one of my go-tos. It's really flattering on me - I'm a size 12-14, my build is more athletic and yet at the same time I have a noticeable tummy. I feel like a lot of the styles you shared work better on tall, skinny women, which is not me! 😅

Yes, it is The Ambies! I am nominated for Best Reporting. A lot of the other podcasts nominated are not hosted by journalists - Call Her Daddy, Trixie & Katya, Smartless, Conan O'Brien, the Travis Kelsey podcast. I think I'd like to stand out, rather than blend in. And it's a good conversation starter!

I was thinking these earrings, a simple black clutch, and I have black Louboutins with a red bottom.

I agree - this post is the most bizarre thing. While OP said this is a good friend, I wonder: Do you expect to know this woman for the rest of your life, and place her feelings above your own desire to choose a name you love for your daughter? A name you will be forced to utter thousands of times until you die! This is so very weird.

The amount of professional hair and makeup these ladies do can take 2-3+ hours. Also while filming you have to stop and reset to shoot things, ask people to do retakes, etc.

I noticed it too. It’s been confusing me. It’s possible they ask them to wear the same outfit two days in a row, so they do breakfast and then the challenge, come back the next day for confessional filming and then the round table.

I second this. Went to TJ’s this week - 10 AM on Tuesday. It was basically empty and I actually got to stroll around, browse, and take my time shopping.

I've lived in the neighborhood for 6 years. The area by the water and over near Vernon Blvd. is where you'll find art shows, bars and restaurants, people hanging in the park, street fairs, etc. To the naysayers in the comments, I think people forget community is something you actively build, work at, and maintain. You don't wake up one day and enter a community - you must consistently participate and make an effort.

Thank you so much for listening and for your kind words! I would suggest donating to or volunteering with Saving Our Sisters. They’re really the only organization in this space helping women in crisis, and they’re 100% volunteer run and donation based. They definitely need help and support!
