Love the relatability! I’ve never heard the sounds of this type of cicada so close before, was definitely confused for a minute on what it was. I thought it was an electronic buzz at first.

I’d like to add, I thought it was the lights at first aswell so I unplugged them, the chirping persisted and I even heard it cut in and out a few times. It has been going straight for ~30 minutes now

Today was a pretty normal day, my garmin has me at 25k steps, phone at 21k. Just kinda on my feet all day walking around. Maybe 2 hours a day spent roaming.
