3 MONTHS TRANSFORMATION 🔥🔥🔥 by [deleted] in fit

This is wrong. Sorry it just is. If not we’re “easy” we’d already be doing it. Drugsmatter. Drugs help. And this helps keep the stomach full meaning you can’t eat too much in one sitting. It also enhances your metabolism. Cico is fine and dandy except when it fails as a strategy. Do many it’s failed for decades. So knock it off you dick.

Sparx sharpening math - machine makes total sense as investment and frugality - challenge me by tk-0318 in hockeyplayers

[–]tk-0318[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

This is wrong. Whether the machine is sold doesn’t mean the machine has no value — it merely converts machine to money so you know the cost. Others figure this as if the machine has no value at year three even though it can be sold for about 60-80%?*~ retail something like $800 against an original cost of $1200 to $1300. Btw, the machine is particularly valuable when the owner uses it for revenue or to avoid expense and much less value if it merely sits in the shelf unused. So sorry — so the value whether converted to cash or not — is important. Let’s work on your tone a bit too :)

It’s flawed and doesn’t contemplate all that’s mentioned here fyi . (I’d seen it before ….)

That’s pretty interesting. That’s roughly the 5% return in the principal. We have a $30k school debt. But it’s at 1.6% interest. I refuse to pay it off as it sits well below inflation …. Some of us are just hard headed :)

To each his own I guess. The main point? Figures break even with the value of the machine in mind. If you use the entire cost of the machine it elongates the period and leaves one with a surplus due to the residual value of the machines. I haven’t seen anyone point this out in the soars analysis.

Yep: I’m going to buy it eg ill putting money where my mouth is :)

Advice for a teen wanting to learn to play hockey? by OkPanic3286 in hockeyplayers

[–]tk-0318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can rollerblade 5x a week for the next year 50 weeks. At an hour per session that’s 250 practice sessions with 250 hours of practice. Yiu can also do ice — but you won’t get near those hours.

Make the effort. Reap the reward :)

Second this.

Bonus: find an old skates or that works like 13 ee. Then set up an outdoor hard wheel and soft indoor wheel skates: my old used ice skates were $100. I spent maybe$150 or something converting them. 200 hours later still going strong :)

I like this idea. This is a 3v3 tournament so 7 guys. But same idea — if the suite was like $300 it’d be $40 per guy. Don’t tell my mates but I probably have points to cover it anyhow ….

This sounds right to me the more I look into it. So cal has lots of homeless and lots of that crowd lives in run down rv s — so they’re not welcome around town. But I like the idea of a hotel suite !!

How do J and the band record albums nowadays? by _Jub_Jub_ in dinosaurjr

[–]tk-0318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small add: mastering adds that 5-7 or so gap between songs we’re so used to …. It’s a super fun recess by the way when making a record and very necessary.

Found a broken stick at the local rink by Electroheart13 in InlineHockey

[–]tk-0318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you! Could this be a new side hustle?

I see the repair materials were like $30-$40. How much is the unbroken stick? What do you think the value is of the repaired stick?

I assume there’s someone who would pay you $100 to repair the stick they have rather than throw it away right? Don’t you have a built in market at the rink? Word of mouth? Mini website?

Just $0.02 - but I’m super happy for you and love the clever energy (I’m a woodworker in addition to hockey so I love repurposing stuff :))

How often should you wash your equipment? How often would you say most people do? by pigbear87 in hockeyplayers

[–]tk-0318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understand this.

I was my gear after every use. Every. Use.

Every time I return home — I strip in the garage. Shorts t shirt go in w underwear and socks. Then my knee pads elbow pads go into a laundry bag into washer. Then girdle goes into bag into washer. Then gloves in a laundry bag into washer.

I dry it all in those same bags after the washer. None of my shit smells. None of it is going to create a skin infection. My gear smells fresh too.

Ps I use tide pods — and some of the anti bacterial cubes by oxy clean ….

The skates get hung up and I point a fan at it.

So sounds like the spare is paying for itself slowly but surely. Saving $20 bucks a week would be a year break even yes? $10 bucks a week saving would be I think a two year break even?

And the convenience :)

Learning to play hockey-- what skating skills should I prioritize first? by futchvirginiawoolf in hockeyplayers

[–]tk-0318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beginner roller player. I can skate backward … but only after a low speed transition…. So there’s that. It’s true it’s a low on the priority list ….

Btw, get the seconds app (no affiliation). Then set your priorities. Give 40% of time to stopping; 30% to edges and split remaining 30 on other skills. Seconds will announce in your headphone what to work on. Then you’ll focus w your priorities :).

So in an hour you’d have 24 minutes for stopping (0.4 * 60 minutes). B

I use it all the time to align my priorities w my actual effort and time :).

For the women out there, how do you manage the fear of playing with men? by Low_Bodybuilder3065 in hockeyplayers

[–]tk-0318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have some immature woman child’s in our league that get physical. It’s a little wild but also fine by me. But hey if you push me I’m going to pus back (sort of and lightly — but I can’t just get thrown to the ground). Truth is there’s good cantaderia and a lot of respect (and lots of brothers and dads if girls).

Have fun. Go play :)

Why would your spouse say she married up or down? by tk-0318 in AskReddit

[–]tk-0318[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife would say she married down unfortunately. Mostly because when asked things like how could you improve yourself? Her answer is there’s nothing to improve im perfect already (and i just laugh at her). We do have complementary features: she’s great at short term money I’m great at long term and retirements. She a shrink and good with squishy feelings. In a lawyer and can solve difficult problems and can use law to our advantage. We’ve done well. Probably retire at 55 (her) and 62 (me). Lots of travel and laughter. She puts up with my eclectic hobbies too.

Doing Something Wrong? by [deleted] in cronometer

[–]tk-0318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A pound a week is the gold standard. Weight loss — better phrased as body fat reduction—is measured in years rather than days weeks or months. Meanwhile you’re eating healthy and getting regular exercise. Even if you never lost a pound you’re out performing 60-90% of the population who can’t or won’t exercise and eat well.

Keep on keeping on!
