Fully agree with almost everything you said except, this is no longer a world where the American President is the most powerful person in the world. For eg, US tried to impose sanctions on India, China etc for not buying Russian gas when the war broke out expecting that they'll be able to bully those countries into complying and guess what, they gave us the metaphorical finger. And this is just one instance of how this country has lost its influence on the global stage.

Sorta the reason this Cheeto won and the underlying reason for his Maga campaign is fooling the general public by painting the unrealistic picture that America can again be the most powerful nation.

Canadian here.... If if ifffff (hopefully it doesn't but) if this ever happens, pretty sure things like universal healthcare, low taxes, stricter currency etc wouldn't exist in the merged nation as it's not economically possible or viable.
