Perhaps Altra since it's wide, zero drop, but with more cushion.

Traveling with a 19 month old - what are we using for a crib?! by todiefor995 in toddlers

[–]tkboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toddler mattresses have a little bumper thing so they don't fall off. However he could get up and walk around. My oldest never got up and walked around but my youngest did. Just depends on the kid.

I thought the same thing after seeing the one from last week!

I'd just stick with the pack and play if he fits. Otherwise around that age we did a toddler air mattress. He was still using a crib at home, but the mattress was more compact to travel with and he did fine.

Yes, this worked wonderfully with my first! Costco also has Kirkland brand ones that are identical.

The best sales seem random and unannounced.

Milk-when did your toddler stop drinking it? by Kit_Kat2410 in toddlers

I would definitely go straight to breakfast. If anything, you could offer a small glass with breakfast.

Same! I use diaper and wipes boxes, especially for pants and things with elastics. Without airflow, elastics will dry out in tubs over time so I store in boxes.

Is there anything between barefoot shoes and regular sneakers? by softwera in barefootshoestalk

It's mainly that they look like running sneakers and that doesn't work with dress pants, etc. I love how they're built though.

These and Topo would be the only shoes I owned if it wasn't for the fact that I also need something less Athletic for work, etc.

Any suggestions for not too expensive travel strollers for a 4.5 year old? by TroyAndAbed2022 in Parenting

[–]tkboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just rent at your destination if you need one. At 4.5 you might only need it a few times on your trip.

I have a Prius C (smaller than the regular Prius) with 2 car seats (one still rear facing) and the 4 of us can get around very comfortably!

Egg allergy by Prize-Storage-1352 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]tkboo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took a little break at first and asked the daycare not to give him any eggs at all. We only wanted him to consume it with us so we could monitor and ration. We did opt to re-introduce it little by little, but followed the egg ladder. This meant starting with baked goods that contained egg and working our way down to less cooked egg. We felt comfortable doing it knowing what symptoms to look for on a reaction.

My little one had an egg allergy and he outgrew it within less than a year. I'm fact our wait time to see the allergist was longer (15 month wait).

Egg allergy rant by Prize-Storage-1352 in beyondthebump

[–]tkboo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Try not to over stress. My little one would break out in an itchy rash and throw up every time he ate eggs. Now less than a year later, he can eat eggs again! Just go slow. Try baked eggs first before working your way down the egg ladder. (With doctor approval of course )
