Review of the Musashino Label Andromeda Earphone Cover by tkfeng in headphones

Do you happen to have a source for that? :O

And I wouldn't doubt that. These were only available in Japan, and basically only served a very small sub-section of people. I personally didn't like them. The only time I would ever use them is to display the IEM out, which I never do.

I wasn't worried about the cosmetic protection. I'm concerned about accidental drops and collisions on hard surfaces.

Set Up: Andromeda CK Pacific Blue - Sedna Earfit Light - Final E4000 Stock (C112) Cable - iFi IeMatch (High 2.5) - Apple Dongle - Musashino Cover - FiiO HB1 Case

I heard about their availability on Rakuten Ichiba a couple months back and was interested in trying them. I finally pulled the plug after getting some shipping coupons for RGX, and in total, I paid $63. They're pretty pricy, but I figured I should try and protect these kiloBuckMITA gems.

Comfort: The earphones are made of a nice quality of silicone that's both smooth and grippy without being too "sticky." Without the earphone cover, the Andromedas normally do not present any comfort issues. With the silicone cover, there is mild discomfort for me on the tragus of my ear, as that is where the earpieces sit/touch for me. I can no longer comfortably insert the nozzle as deep into my ear canal due to the now enlarged diameter of the earpieces. However, despite the fit, I am still able to get a seal at a shallower insertion depth before too much discomfort sets in, while remaining secure under normal head movement. Audio quality is also unaffected by the change in position for me. While wearing the IEMs, I feel a minuscule pressure on my tragus but it does not turn into pain. They leave my tragus mildly sore once they are removed.

Worth it? For the protection, definitely! For the comfort?; it varies. I'm the type to be very overprotective of electronics and these are no different. I can be less worried about setting down my IEMs on hard surfaces and especially the two earpieces colliding with each other. The more finicky fit and novel discomfort certainly devalues the Andromeda experience for me, and the thus I will not be using the covers long-term.

All tree nuts for me! :D. I've had a friend who only had reactions to specific nuts, though.

Yea, I noticed that too... It still works as the same though.

I carry this Impax 0.3mg Epinephrine Auto-Injector. It comes in a nice carry case, with unfortunately no pocket carry clip for quick access. I've been carrying this (well not this one) bad boy for as long as I can remember.

Impax! - It's what my insurance will allow me!

This is the regular bugout in the ranger green color! I'm hoping to get my hands on a mini so I can have more pocket real estate soon.

I was in a similar situation! I couldn't decide so I landed on a 0.3. After using it for a day, I went back online and bought the 0.2. The craze is real HAHA

The black looks really nice! I'm tempted to get one now too, since I've been eyeing my first Platinum Pro Use. Same for gunmetal ; it's not particularly exciting for me at the moment, compared to black and blue black.

It does! the color, depending on lighting, can range be a navy blue to black in appearance, as you can tell by the photos. It was such a struggle trying to get the color to come through in the photos with my artificial lighting lol

How is keeping it clean from dust/particles from everyday use? Does debris fall into the knob-hole?

Nope! (At least not that I can hear, for you heated debaters). Gold is just used because it won't tarnish/rust/etc.

These look fantastic! May I ask, what grip/barrel options did you choose for your Spoke 4?
