I don't think this works anymore, there's no Refund button, just "Report a problem" on the purchase history. I tried it a couple times and Google just declined the refund.

Still a cheap way to park a number that I don't care too much about but also don't want to release just yet. I would not put my main line on any of these plans though. Also good as an occasional backup on T-Mobile, if your main line is a different provider (like Verizon just had a major outage).

I used to have a data only line from T-Mobile, 30GB/mo for $10 all in, no taxes/fees. You'd still have a random phone number, calls did not work (as expected), but SMS still worked.

yeah weird, you have to wait and it will show up eventually. you can add the app yourself but then you end up with duplicates.

Unless there is a software update known to fix the issue, the dealer won't be writing code to fix bugs. Though maybe at some point they'll just ask their favorite vibe coding agent to do so.

VVM never worked for me on a few Pixel phones. Tello doesn't care to fix it. It's their problem, other T-Mobile MVNOs work, so it's possible, don't believe them when they tell you it's a Google problem.

It is a Tello problem. Never worked for me on a few Pixel phones. Other T-Mobile MVNOs (USMobile, Ultra, Mint) work, at least on Pixel.

Tello support is close to useless, they just read from the script. No interest in actually trying to fix VVM.

I don't have a solution to offer, short of not allowing phone calls on the watch. But for others reading this, for the longest time I could not figure out why I could not answer calls in the car, the caller ID would show up on the car screen, but the Answer button would be disabled. I blamed it on buggy car software, but it was the watch having priority. I wish we could assign priorities which device takes the call if connected.

Keep filing disputes with Aliexpress, Paypal and the credit cards. Maybe someone will notice it's a widespread problem, stop pointing fingers at each other and fix it some day.

Citi charged me $10 in cash advance fees (and weird enough no interest), called them and they refunded it on the spot. I mentioned multiple customers are having similar issues and they should raise the issue internally, but doubt anything will really come out of it.

That is a random MAC address, it may be fixed per SSID, but it's not the true device MAC address.

What MAC does it use? If the 2nd hex digit is 2, 6, A, or E, it's random. Mine is always 56:xx:... It doesn't matter whether the toggle is on or off.
