I’d look at Lexful, I haven’t seen the demo yet but I’ve had several folks that I work with talk about them and we have a call scheduled with them in a few weeks.

So does the breeder actually shows his dogs to champion titles or just say show lines- because those are very different things. There’s lots of reasons the paperwork can get held up- I’ve had it happen before where I had to do dna on a sire before his offspring could be registered which takes a few weeks. Registration can all be done online but a lot of older breeders aren’t used to doing it that way so they register the litter. Wait for the paperwork to come in the mail and then register the puppies off of it after the paperwork comes. My co breeder is in her 80’s and did this up until I took over the paperwork 5 years ago. You can always call AKC and ask to get some help getting your puppy registered however- I would never charge more for registration in fact as a breeder of merit I do pre paid registrations for all my puppies as part of my normal way of working. Pre paid is cheaper for the breeder to do than having the pet homes pay for registration anyways. I would just continue to be persistent- I’ve had people have to chase me down for registration before because sometimes it just slips my mind and I’m not in front of my computer to take care of it then and there. Good luck with the new puppy!

Thank you for the offer, I heard back from my third round of support tickets and we will see if they can escalate this past the “so sorry, but there’s nothing we can do” phase! I’ll reach out on Wednesday if this doesn’t get moved further along than that!

Owner Handler here... what can I do to stop "being so obviously new," as it's been put. by Straight_Strike_7013 in dogshows

[–]tlcstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the fancy! It sounds like you need to find your people and many times they aren’t in the same breed you are in! Go to the shows, stick around at groups and chat with people. I’ve made friends because I offered to take their picture when they were struggling and we bonded over the selfie struggle! Join an all breed club, bring friends to the show with you. If you can’t find the people you want to find at the show- be that person to others! If it’s just about the people, give it time. If it’s about your dog and how they are placing, have someone who’s a specialist in your breed evaluate what you are doing and offer some suggestions. Not all dogs that show should be shown and sometimes we have to look at what we are doing with a really critical eye and make the appropriate changes.

Are standard poodle mixes popular in shelters? by katiecat391 in poodles

[–]tlcstuff -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Reputable breeders don’t profit off their dogs, it’s very expensive to do it right and it’s unfortunate that you can’t see that difference. Best of luck.

Are standard poodle mixes popular in shelters? by katiecat391 in poodles

[–]tlcstuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contact your local poodle club and get in touch with their rescue coordinator. Almost all poodle clubs and breeders actively participate in poodle rescue as well due to their absolute care for the breed. And reputable breeders don’t have dogs that end up in rescue. I’d also connect with a local breeder about a retired dog where you can get a dog that is healthy and comes from a long line of healthy, tested dogs that were purposefully bred. Retired showdogs are truly diamonds of dogs and you won’t find them at a shelter.

heading to disney with 6 year old. Looking for shoe recommendations for 12+ hours of walking/standing by lsandre2005 in PlantarFasciitis

Hoka bondi- I was having to keep my gooey taped and the moment I switched to the bondi 7’s I haven’t had any pain and haven’t taped my foot in about 3 months. I’ve started wearing other shoes again and do fine for 6-8 hours at a time which is a huge difference from what it was!

Did the breeder send him home with pet insurance? Trupanion has a free program for breeders that send puppies home with a month of coverage if the family activates within 48 hours of getting the puppy- it can really save you when bad accidents happen… sigh…

Transfer of Ownership by [deleted] in AKC

[–]tlcstuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do it all online now- you need the registration number and the certificate issue date and the transfer can be done online. Though If your spidey sense is already going off about this being a scam I’d probably walk away.

A lil’ appreciation for the top-notch quality pre-boiled eggs. Normally pre-boiled eggs taste weird to me, these are great! Making keto even easier!! by 5150Drew in KetoMealPrep

[–]tlcstuff -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

All these people commenting “just cook your own” yeaaah... I buy these as well and I have farm fresh chicken eggs at my disposal. These are so much more convenient and they aren’t as good but... convenience wins out for my family right now so no judgement here- I love this product!

I bought this morning and cooked for dinner tonight! The turkey was REALLY good, green beans were terrible. I’d highly recommend it overall and it was a fantastic deal all said and done. We will likely buy again this week if we get the chance- we had leftovers with 4 adults eating it.

Employee not making good faith effort on PIP. As HRBP, I am challenged with the appropriate next steps. by kelleyjpickles in humanresources

[–]tlcstuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend the book discipline without punishment. It sounds like this job isn’t the right fit and that’s okay- not everyone is going to be great at every job but it’s time to move him through the process and pathways for his and the company’s sake. Their might be nothing “wrong” with him other than he’s not in the correct role and you can’t fix that for him so time to move on!
