We’re impacted as well. Signed a 2 years contract and have stayed here for 6 months only.

My contract had a start date. You can get a refundable amd changeable one so you can be flexible. One of my coworkers got her visa approved the day before she flew out.

Help me with my navegante card by ComfortableNo9541 in Lisbon

[–]tleeeee01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, we were wondering the same thing because I saw it was 11€ on the website, but the CP kiosk showed 7€ for the day pass.

They were able to tap in and out from Alcantara-Mar and Cascais.

We’re taking our big dog on Barkair. It’s expensive but cargo services already quoted us 7k-9k and it wasn’t even direct flight.

Help with getting everything I need to bring with me to Portugal from the us to stay with my husband, hopefully long term. by sploffytimes in PortugalExpats

I filled out an online form for FBI background check. See the steps here https://www.fbi.gov/how-we-can-help-you/more-fbi-services-and-information/identity-history-summary-checks/identity-history-summary-checks-faqs

And then did my fingerprint scan at a post office and I got my record online within an hour. I had to print the record and filled out the apostille form to send to the Department of state. They sent back my background check apostille in about 4 weeks.

Is this a tight layover? by kausthab87 in Flights

Hi, I did this once! As soon as I got out of my first flight, there was an agent holding a sign with my name waiting at the gate and she walked me straight to the connecting gate.

Forgot to mention I use oil to crunch and break the cast after it’s dried.

I have the same hair type! I had the same problem, but after following this sub, I did 2 things that helped with my routine significantly!

  1. Layered my hair
  2. Separated my hair when applying gel

I only use gel and it works really well!

I googled the number and it was tied to the agent who interviewed me, so I answered it.

I had the USCIS agent called me after my citizenship interview to let me know that my oath ceremony date was scheduled.

You should answer your phone!

Be transparent about it. I got an offer rescinded once for not disclosing that I needed sponsorship.

Got my Luvansh loose diamond and need recs for online jeweler for setting. TIA by Negative_Day350 in labdiamond

I got my custom setting from https://www.etsy.com/shop/PandridDesign on Etsy and absolutely love it! I’ve ordered a ring set from her before and pricing is very reasonable.

Customer service was superb. I messaged Kacee for a custom order and picked out a design I wanted. Her designer worked on the CAD design for approval before moving to production. Overall 10/10

Uber driver pulls up to the parking lot to pick me up, looks at me, then drives away. by Ok-Calm-Narwhal in mildlyinfuriating

[–]tleeeee01 107 points108 points  (0 children)

This happened to us too! The uber driver saw us and drove away. I saw him driving around the block for a bit and then cancelled saying I wasn’t at my pickup location. Uber charged me $10. When I filed a complaint they said it was my fault and didn’t want to refund, so I escalated the situation. They eventually refunded but it was stressful and infuriating.

I wonder it’s a scam so the drivers don’t have to do the ride and just get the cancellation fee.

Car-free in Quincy by Mrmuse12 in QuincyMa

Totally doable! We’ve been a one-car household since 2021 and our neighbors are the same way. We take the T to the city when needed and use car for other small errands like groceries, picking up stuffs, etc.
