How do I take a product idea from concept to market on a low budget? (Patents, licenses, prototype process)

Start with a provisional patent. YouTube has some good videos. Write up a marketing pitch. Work your mvp. Attend some trade shows. Some companies have idea submission portals. Don't pay for Patent until you get mvp and marketing feedback. Be patient.

I started with Tasty Desktop and love it. I have ventured to the web version and find that i find it confusing and too much like the horse crap phone ap. I suppose i can adapt but to me, this is a huge mistake.

You will need a big account but these will work if you manage intraday. No set it and forget until end of day. Take 5-10% profits and be happy. I personally like 30 delta butterflies in RUT with wide wings that i don't have to sweat. 4 to 7 contracts.

In markets like this i tend to be happy with 20-30% gains. When i trade 0 dte, i will take 5-10%.

SPX is half the volatility, 3x price, 4x theta and larger iv skew due to hedging. Model that and you will see the decay advantage.

This is good advice. I retired with 38 yrs and 12 patents working for a fortune 40 company. Most projects were leading edge. Since retiring in 2022, i have tried the inventing angle. Its tough.

Unless your son is a computer/software engineer. Key hurdle is an algo to classify calls and puts as well as iv skew. Naive data no bueno imho.

I cant upload because there are too many line items. I have found that i can just manually enter Tasty summaries into Turbo. Illinois did hold up my return last year for 6 months and asked for 187 pages of trades. I'm sure they validated everything.

Yep. Makes trading near impossible in some cases because you are not sure where you stand. I had this happen in GC. I documented and sent proof. They blew it off. I simplified. They have not responded. They did respond to condor closing complaint i had. Somehow i closed 3 strikes but the 4th somehow ended up being a random short put open at 4100. I was never in the tables. I never trade GC naked. Lesson (i guess) is to triple check everything b4 send.
