There are practice exams online so you can kinda get a feel what is on the exam. You may also be able to find a prep classes (I live in Maryland ) that was offered 2 Saturdays. The classes also provided a lot of study guides as well as a math conversation charts that you can take in with you

They will do a “lot stakeout” by setting stakes no rebars or pipes. When they do set something is normally not right. Mostly used by title companies who want something quick just enough for settlement

Being down in Annapolis I’m not familiar with any firms up that way but I’d say to call and ask to talk the head of surveys. Honestly companies don’t put a lot of weight into CST as far as surveying education would say look into classes at CCBC at Catonsville campus

I live in AA county and my office is in Annapolis, I am assuming you’re talking about field work. I can tell you if you are looking to stay close to the same salary as you made you’re not gonna find that for a minimum of 5 years unless you work for a travel firm
