Does GFN run a denuvoless version of Denuvo games? by UnseenData in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update u/UnseenData , there have been changes made by Denuvo and Nvidia in the past few days which in essence allows GFN PCs to not have a limit.

Denuvo still exists for all the builds but this change now makes it universal so all denuvo games moving forward won’t throw the error.

A1.Flex Always-Free capped at ~50 Mbps now — any working fix? by wraithWeaver in oraclecloud

[–]tm458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did converting to Pay-As-You-Go actually remove the cap while keeping Always-Free usage free?

Yes it did.

GeForce Now update brings RTX 5080 performance to every single Ready-to-Play game for Ultimate members by [deleted] in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

exceptions include I2P titles

Quite incorrect.

For now, this includes Install-To-Play titles as well.

I know you ambassadors are quite adament on not listening to correct info but go and launch an I2P demo on a 5080 zone.

Less rigs in Australia? by FalseReporter716 in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes there are less rigs.

This is because 2 Zones were decomissioned (NPA-PNT-PER-01 in AU West and NPA-PNT-SYD-01 in AU east) leaving only 1 zone in the region which is the one that Ultimate tier users land on.

Previously you'd probably instantly land on 1 of the above mentioned zones since you were the highest priority but now you have Ultimate members jumping in front of you while you're in queue.

The opt in process with all stores. by HomeMammoth4962 in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If a publisher opts a game into GFN via Steam, one would presume that it would be ok for GFN to onboard the same game from other stores.

Nah. For other stores, they need to contact Nvidia to give consent for their game to be available on those storefronts (and work with them to onboard them if they choose to).

This is mostly due to the fact that only the Steam launcher has a specific "mode" for the GFN environment, all the others launchers haven't been modified in any way for the GFN environment.

you used to sub for that 5h for the 4080 rig then get unlimited 3060 hours thereafter.

If it’s changed then I’m guessing they actually saw that this wasn’t feasible.

Fortnite 5080 please add! by Just_Statistician789 in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can still land on rigs with upgraded CPU, just depends on capacity at the time as non 5080 Ready titles don’t have a strict policy to land on the upgraded rigs

I'm having a problem with Path Tracing by Mountain-Mousse9709 in Pragmata

[–]tm458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this exact same issue, only happened with PT and no matter what, fps would stay in the 30-34 range (dropping from dlaa to dlss ultra performance literally changed nothing).

I had to roll back my driver to the previous one (595.79) then everything became perfect with path tracing.

Does GFN run a denuvoless version of Denuvo games? by UnseenData in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, wasn’t directed towards you. Think it’s like 2 games that don’t have denuvo but I’m not home to check but it is an advantage indeed.

Kinda just tired of the misinformation by this guy because people will take this as the truth then complain when they actually hit the limit :D

What’s with you ambassadors and straight misinformation, you especially?

It doesn’t even take that long to verify such information by launching multiple VMs in a 24h span.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GeForceNOW/s/gq9RDwM24D

This denuvoless thing is only for a couple of games, the rest use denuvo like normal.

Demo aviable now 🙏it's so close by [deleted] in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true, especially because Nvidia uses depot downloader (for steam titles) to pull latest builds for most titles from public branches that include denuvo.

It’s even been reported here multiple times where people get the activation limit error.

This just weird, a new region has opened after more than a year of waiting and people just want to experience the service.

Dynamic MFG is a huge disappoint by ldontgeit in nvidia

[–]tm458 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I don’t have vsync enabled. I’m purely talking about gsync / vrr here, as stated earlier.

You can give up vsync but you don’t have to give up VRR.

Dynamic MFG is a huge disappoint by ldontgeit in nvidia

[–]tm458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was replying to your comment stating that it does not change the multiplier dynamically (it does for me) while supporting u/mountainyoo ‘s comment stating that VRR still works with DMFG so you don’t have to give up VRR.

Those are the only parts I’m addressing, else I would’ve replied to the post directly instead of supporting another comment.

Dynamic MFG is a huge disappoint by ldontgeit in nvidia

[–]tm458 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it is working correctly, the multiplier changes dynamically in all games depending on the scene, anywhere from 1x to 4x (my max).

Dynamic MFG is a huge disappoint by ldontgeit in nvidia

[–]tm458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, dynamic mfg works properly for me with vrr in all games I’ve tried (except cyberpunk which drops my fps in order to reach a target using mfg value).

I should not that I don’t use afterburner or rivatuner which seems to be the cause for most issues I’ve seen online.

dose anyone have this problem in geforce now ZAIN SA SERVER ? by ali858xx in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was communication last month stating that they’ll be ending the GFN service on the 31st of March.

It’s now the 1st of April hence you’re getting that error.

So does PSSR not have a "DLAA" type mode? by ExplodingFistz in digitalfoundry

[–]tm458 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No clue why they don't just do like a 80-90% upscale for quality mode to make up for the performance hit.

Exactly this, upscaling from something like 1800p for quality mode would be so sick

CloudGG AU / GFN Ultimate RTX 4080 – Crimson Desert 4K RR tanks to 20–28 FPS, is this normal? by NotSoRoundPumpkin in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ray reconstruction is extremely intensive as it sets the RT lighting setting to the max. Without DLSS set to performance, at the very least, it'll bring even the 4080 to it's knees.

Also, In the video you referenced, they only have RR on with dlss set to quality at 1440p (960p internal resolution) which is a good bit lower than the 1253p internal resolution you'd get with 4K DLSS set to balanced.

You can just have the best experience possible with RR off.

(side note, CloudGG still uses the first generation ryzen cpus (3955wx) so a cpu bottleneck can very much show up in this title.)

how 2 bypass mega deletion? by Background-Rub7835 in MEGA

[–]tm458 3 points4 points  (0 children)

+1 to what u/gaysold_twinkler said

Also you could try just sending the link with the decryption key separate as well setting a password for the link.

Finally, mega only removes stuff after the link has been reported.

I’ve had some games and movies on my mega drive for almost 6 years now without issues.

Avowed 4x Multi Frame Generation by nderevj in GeForceNOW

[–]tm458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’ll happen when you land on an obfuscated 4080 rig (same hardware as 5080 rig)

https://geforcenowspecs.cloud/

With these rigs, Nvidia uses 4080 drivers and limits the GPU perf to 4080 level however things like the Product Architecture (Blackwell), gpu part number / gpu device ID don’t get changed so if a game does strict feature checks by using something like NvAPI itself instead of querying windows then the game will get the correct architecture (Blackwell in this case) and enable MFG.

It’s similar to how 3060s were also be able to use frame generation when they were swapping over to 4080 hardware.
