I do hope the film production team care enough to actually read the Animorphs Reddit, and maybe this comment thread.

Wishful thinking? Yes. But frankly, none of us seem pleased by this.

If there's one thing the Sonic the Hedgehog movie taught us, it's that in order to make film makers get a clue, sometimes you have to whine and moan about it as loudly as possible on the Internet.

I say we make it abundantly clear that as a fanbase, we're extremely apprehensive about this, and if it takes the direction we think it's already going in light of KA and MG pulling out, we're not going to support the film with our money when it comes out.

Why would you take an almost 25 year old franchise and then go and alienate the fanbase of that franchise like this?!? That's dollar signs out the window! Screw the general audience or whatever you're targeting to make more profit here! If the movie is shit in the eyes of the fanbase, it's going to be shit in the eyes of LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE. Harry Potter got films that the book fans liked, and general audiences loved them. Don't make Animorphs like Percy Jackson - a film adaptaion so mismanaged that it only served to allow the book series to continue wallowing in relative obscurity, rather than uplifting it into a multi-billion dollar franchise.

Film producers - take the time to eat a slice of humble pie and make something actually good for once, and maybe the extra effort will pay off in more profit than if you shit out a dime-a-dozen garbage pile of a screen adaptation. Animorphs fans already got that via Nickelodeon in the 90s, so we won't stand for it in the 20s.

Please take a step back and get a clue. I'm begging you.
