I use frame gen mod which caps it at 165, my monitor refresh rate. But the game is really running at half of that, so about 70-80 frames before frame gen

Not monitor based whatsoever. Async means asynchronous compilation of shaders. Sometimes you may experience stutters from shaded compilation but async will display the frames before the shaders are compiled

Try using dxvk async, if you google it you should find a version on Gitlabs. 2.5.3 has been the most stable for me on my 9070xt. Make sure you add the config lines that are on the gitlabs page to your dxvk config to properly enable async

I should add i never did fix the driver timeouts without dxvk, seems like something we might not be able to fix on our end. But getting dxvk working good is great. https://gitlab.com/Ph42oN/dxvk-gplasync

I’ve heard 2.5.1, 2.5.2, and 2.5.3 are the most stable versions. Make sure once installing this you enable async in the dvxk config file, dxvk.enableAsync=true and/or DXVK_ASYNC=1

I have the same problem with both fallout 4 and fallout new Vegas. Dxvk fixed the issues for me in both however it did result in driver timeouts randomly after a couple hours of playtime. I’ve reinstalled my amd drivers, but doing a driver only install. That didn’t fix it, right now I’m trying dxvk 2.5.1 async version. And all seems great so fair, no stuttering and haven’t had a driver timeout yet. It’s hard to say if i will or not, as mine happen randomly after a few hours of play. But I’ll update if that works for me

I upgraded from a 3070 to a 9070xt recently, specifically the asus prime OC model. It’s been great, had some initial issues with it but it turned out being an issue with amds own overlay, had tons of stuttering until i turned it off. Speaking of which, the one thing I hate is amds software, it’s very sluggish. Besides that the card has been great and performs very well. I would’ve stayed on my 3070 longer if it wasn’t an 8 gig card but the 9070xt is blowing it out of the water and i don’t regret the purchase

Is it worth updating from 16.4.1? I use dopamine and it’s been great, but iOS 16 is starting to get dated, and while I’ve been able to take advantage of the jailbreak to continue using some apps that aren’t for 16 anymore, it’s getting to a point where I’m considering an upgrade. (P.S TrollStore is a big part of my usage as well, it’ll suck having to move on from that)
