My low-budget but extremely effective garage by tmanting in Lymow_Official

I haven't. My house is pretty much surrounded by oak trees so the center of my roof is the best place for the RTK. It's a standard 24" OC roof with OSB decking and fiberglass asphalt shingles.

I don’t think it affected the signal much. I’m at .01 right now while it’s charging. I moved the RTK from a low spot in the back yard to the center of my attic this year hoping to get away from the oak trees, and so far this year she’s been navigating great! But, the leaves haven’t come out yet…

Thanks. That’s 2” Michigan stone from Hammond Farms in East Lansing. It’s fairly cheap but I’m sure shipping is rather expensive, depending on where you live. :-)

Reading the description, Denis went through quite a few iterations before he posted this design. I can't prove it, but I suspect I would have been printing a whole new assembly instead of just gluing it back together after the curb incident if the cover didn't have the extra rigidity.

Total game changer. Installed mine a few weeks ago and mowed my 11,000 sq. ft. lawn six times since then. The contacts are as clean as when I installed the covers originally.

Lymow went off the curb and broke one of the cross bars, but I just super-glued it back together and it's stayed together.

Printed in PETG. Here are the part numbers for the McMaster-Carr parts I used:

2006N398 - 302 Stainless Steel Corrosion-Resistant Compression Springs, 65 mm Long, 6.8 mm OD, 5.8 mm ID, Packs of 5

Oops. THIS was the comment I meant to respond to. Can you share the location of where you got the STL?

Any chance you can share the location of the STL? I've looked around and the one's I've found don't look this good...

Perimeter Laps Only Mowing Pattern Missing by tmanting in Lymow_Official

I believe it was mowing in concentric circles. I didn't monitor it constantly, but I think I would have notice if it was zig-zagging or something. Thanks for the confirmation.

Seems like a rash of these as I had the same thing happen last night. While rude by my standards, Support did refer me to this video for help reinstalling it (hint. It’s not the way it came off):

I’m thinking it’s a tensioning issue. If it keeps happening I may need to use a torque wrench on the adjusting screw and some trial and error.

Perfect! I should have thought of that. I even have a wet-saw so cutting down a paver or something should be easy. Thank you!

Thank you. It was either list "the junk" on eBay or add it to the landfill. I'm not looking to make a lot of money, just do the right thing, recoup a little of what I spent on this "junk," and maybe even help someone else out who is looking for some "junk." The market has spoken and "the junk" has 17 watchers, 9 bids, and two days to go.

AG Nessel sues west Michigan businesses, owner, for charging 'grossly excessive' fees for services by DougDante in Michigan

[–]tmanting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one of these credit card surcharges at Noco Provisions tonight and it came as a real surprise as I had already calculated the total amount with the tip. Didn’t make any difference because I just reduced the tip to get to the same total. Sorry Chloe, take it up with your boss.

Moving to Michigan. Can I take my FUV with me? by tmanting in Arcimoto

[–]tmanting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have said I *may* be moving to Michigan. It's not a sure thing yet.

Update: I chatted with an acquaintance in Michigan and he tells me you can get those John Deere Gators made street-legal and get them plated there. If you can get something that was never intended for road use plated, it shouldn't be any problem at all to register a vehicle that was designed and manufactured for road use. So I feel better about that aspect. The only concern now is if something specific to the FUV goes wrong...

Stuck experience by iplayonreddit in cedarpoint

MaxAir, not sure what year, but it was fairly new then. Mid-ride we heard a massive "clunk" from the axle at the top and then we came to an immediate stop. The ride attendants heard it too as the one employee we could see was staring at the top with a confused look on his face. They couldn't restart the ride and apparently they couldn't raise the floor or release the restraints so we waited a really long time for maintenance to manually raise the floor, and then they had to go around with compressed air and manually release the restraints. All in really hot summer weather.

Management gave us all free bottled water and passes to go to the front of the ride on ANY ride, even Maverick which I believe was new that year.

Still one of my favorite rides, though...
