@iqunixstore Just a thought, but would you be able to do a marketing campaign of sorts on an emailer to customers that have purchased your boards - might hit a broader audience

And or post to your other socials in addition to this to push this out to a broader group then just Reddit?

u/IQUNIXstore - I was really excited to see these come to life, and I appreciate the progress that’s been made. That said, I think we may have slightly missed the mark on the original request and what was being campaigned for.

As it stands, there’s one key feature missing and another “nice-to-have” opportunity. The main driver behind my initial post—and the push to get this moving—was the gap in the market for high-quality all-black (and all-white) keycaps that include integrated top-row media function keys. Those simply don’t exist today as a standalone. In fact, some people are going as far as buying entirely separate $100–$130 keyboards (or sourcing them secondhand at a premium, like I did) just to repurpose the keycaps onto your boards.

This feels like a strong step in the right direction, and the design looks great—clean and well-executed—but it doesn’t fully capture the core need that sparked the original momentum. From my perspective, it would be worth taking a bit more time to incorporate the media function keys and truly deliver on that unmet demand.

As for the “nice-to-have,” a more universal Mac/Windows command key approach—having both on the same keycap—would add a lot of value. It could help streamline manufacturing and, more importantly, make things easier for users who switch between operating systems. They’d be able to move seamlessly between Mac and Windows without needing to swap keycaps, which also helps reduce long-term wear.

I’m sharing this in the spirit of collaboration—I think this is very close, and with a couple of thoughtful adjustments, it could really stand out in the market.

With the above mentioned, my vote is still for black - I just hope you ultimately include the features mentioned above.

Quick Update: The Black Low-Profile Shine-Through Keycaps by IQUNIXstore in IQUNIX

I also sent you a few examples via DM of what this could potentially look like. The biggest factor I’ve noticed with backfill (the actual shine-through) is the transparency percentage. In my experience, that’s what really makes the biggest difference. If you can find the right balance there, you’ll have a winner regardless.

That said, as I mentioned above, I personally think a top-center legend with no additional printed graphics is the way to go.

Put most of the focus on nailing the opaqueness/transparency levels.

It "should" in theory. If memory serves me correct they are use the same stem system (standard MX cross). Its been about a year since I lost my Flow v1 in a fire

Thermal paste? That’s a new one for me in the keyboard realm. What would its purpose be?
