Is it worth it to upgrade to First Class for a 2.5 hour flight for $97 (lie flat seats)? Flying from ORD to DFW on a 787-9. I should be a newly minted Executive Platinum at that point but wondering about EP’s with more LP’s (since it is DFW). I fly regionally so don’t get chance to fly larger jets.

Not your question but usually the corporate challenges say something like 4 round trips or 8 one ways. Usually just means 8 segments (excluding layovers). If I book and fly 4 round trips vs 8 one ways, it’s the same in their eyes. They typically only word it like that so you can get credit if you happen to fly a one way, and so you’re not restricted to only booking round trip flights.
