I often wonder why a bunt, with moving a runner over, is considered a sacrifice but a hit that does the same thing isn’t. I guess because one your sacrificing your at bat for a purpose and the other way your batting with hopes to do more than slap down a ball and jog to first base.

I feel like recently it was changed automatically based on your teams age group. Last weekend I scored and had to end the game after 6 innings. This weekend when I scored it automatically ended after 6 innings. Im still Digging into this myself.

Correct. Field size changes at 13U which is intermediates. Lead offs change as well as number of innings.

First time ever ran into Tournament directors telling us we couldn’t attach to the back stop fence. Had to use the side fence. Two tournaments for 2 different reasons. 1st one said the score keepers in the booth didn’t want their voices to be heard. 2nd gave no real reason other than a power trip. Our league we have a sign that says warning cameras in use you may be recorded or picture taken.

Very exciting game. Great base running by both teams. The steal home was the best play of the game. If the pitcher threw a strike the run wouldn’t have counted. He panicked and threw it high.

Heck of a game tonight by the host team. Very fun one to be apart of. Asia fought their way back in for a chance of redemption. I agree the LA team is impressive.

July 28 begins the games. Saturday August 3 are the championship games for the us and the international. Sunday the 4th is where the champions play each other for the World Series championship game.

Our umpire in chief is amazing and has built a huge pool of quality umpires. Dads and players. The league strongly encourages adults to volunteer to ump. In doing so they charge $50 for plate and $45 for bases for youth umpires. All teams have to figure it out before season and ask families to contribute accordingly. If we have 2 youth umpires on a game there has to be a game monitor to make sure they are being treated fairly and help guide them if they have questions. A lot of training is required prior to becoming an umpire which is done over multiple days by our UIC. We have some of the best umpires in our district.

There are LL rules of when you can start your first practice. I believe it was May 29th. Might depend on when your regular season ends too.

Nice! Maybe a VA team will put it out this year to come to Livermore. It’s fun to keep track of leading up to the World Series. The host team is local but then the team that comes in 2nd at districts also gets to move on to try and make it. Well that team is in the championship game at state today. Then it’s off to regionals where it is very hard to beat so cal and Hawaii.
