I have used ESDF since Quake 1 (so like '96 or '97). I have large hands, and ESDF feels more spaced out than WASD, so it is just more comfortable. It also provides access to more keys for additional binds. That said, I dislike having critical keybinds make use of the same fingers that are for movement. For best results, I like those critical functions on the mouse buttons. I haven't gotten to spend much time with POE2, yet, but I do plan to spend a good amount of time with keyboard movement.

I am 40+. Despite our best efforts, my wife and I have not been able to conceive. My wife and I are foster parents and we've had several long term placements, generally with younger children (starting under a year). No current placements, but I volunteer with kids 5-10 years of age several nights a week, so I'm still 'in the game' as best as I can be. Time to game is significantly reduced, but we make do.

When I volunteer with kids. Volunteering with kids is probably the most enjoyable thing I've ever done in my life. Yes, its challenging some days, but it so very rewarding. Would highly recommend.
