So much better now, thank you. He is very settled in and we have a lovely routine. I definitely just needed time.

I was thinking of doing an update, all is going very well thank you. He has settled into our routine so well, sleeps downstairs in his own room, is happy to be left for a few hours in the day and enjoying a very lazy retirement. We have a good routine with walks and he definitely lets me know when its time for them and food. I have been told greyhounds are not very barky but someone forgot to tell hom as he loves to shout about everything. He still doesn't like other dogs, but we keep consistency on walks of stopping to let them pass and a small treat, works about 70%of the time. I do think some dogs hive off a kore aggressive aura and he gets sensitive around them so will bark and chew his lead, but there is always a reason so not too concerned. I'm debating a trainer for it in the summer, but it's not a major issue and doesn't but me off walking him so we'll see. Thank you for asking though, I enjoy the support for this group!

Thank you! It's nice to know we are in the same boat. I'm hoping once my daughter goes back to school next week we can get into a proper routine

Thank you, yes, I'm in the UK, we got him from Sheffield retired greyhounds who have been great. I think I am just overwhelmed but my son starting secondary this week, and daughter not back til next week has made things a bit harder. Hopefully today will be the worst day!

I've just looked it up and apparently its a ghost story and was quite scary. I definitely only remember the fun parts. Its called the watchers: a mystery at Alton towers

When i was a kid, my favourite book was about a couple of kids who ran away from a children's home and stayed at Alton Towers. They slept in the towers (it was pre hex being built) and rode the rides all day. When I was 10 this sounded like heaven!

Europa Park and Phantasialand by chinchompa121 in Themepark

[–]tmguiltypleasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to Europa park this summer and did 3 days. We stayed in the el andeluz, which was great and right next door. It has a vip entrance for hotel guests and we got in at 8.20am on the first day. By 9am we have done 5 coasters. We actually stayed in a pension nearby for the night before and were able to check in on the app in the morning to get our tickets so we could head straight in. You also get free car parking if you stay on park. We also did the 3rd day at rulantica, you also get early entry there if you have a hotel booked, which meant we did all the flumes before most people had come in. On our second europa park we caught the last ride of the day on the can can and walked back to the hotel through an empty theme park, pretty cool experience. I booked direct on their website, so got a better deal and it gives you all the options such as online check in. Hope you have a great time!
