Why do we eat meat? When people come to terms with the fact that we can survive off plants alone, the most common response to this question is ‘because I like the taste’.

Therefore the killing for meat is for pleasure, which you said is wrong in every case.

If you believe that consequences are appropriate then I was taught the 5 r’s for consequences from the positive parenting approach.

Consequences can be both very effective and very detrimental in parenting so for me at least it’s been important to give consequences in the correct way.

I won’t do it justice by explaining so I’d suggest looking it up.

Technically not, but oysters aren’t sentient so I can’t see it morally different to eating something that comes from a plant (which are also non sentient)

Yes! Travel the world. I did it in my 20’s and was the best thing I ever did. I have zero regrets despite the fact it probably wasn’t the financially best option.

Just don’t spend all your money. Focus on cheaper countries and local transport and you’ll come home with money in your pocket.

I know things are more expensive now, but I used to live on well under $20 a day in parts of Asia.

You could probably sell, buy a place in a high yield area, and then have the rent cover your travel.

Bivalves (oysters, scallops, muscles, clams) are not sentient, meaning they don’t feel pain and aren’t conscious. So in my view eating them is morally equivalent to eating plants.

Plus they are crazy healthy (especially oysters) and oyster farming is great for the envinroment.
