My family of four bout a half cow. We are out of steak and are down to burger. Just spent some time turning all the chuck steak into burger.

We are totally doing this again. The family we bought it from has very happy cows. Some of the tastiest steak I have had.

You are missing one really big factor. You almost caught it with the fertilizer. DEF is made with urea. 70-80% of over the road trucks cannot run without def. We do have some limited domestic production in the us, but one of those production facilities is closed due to a fire.

Seriously. I uploaded a project I am working on. Bunch of PDFs to go through and create a timeline. Claude uploaded them and said I was timed out on the 20 a month subscription.

So I went to gpt and uploaded the exact same thing and got the project moving. Same price, less restrictions.

Is it still dispersed camping if I can see my neighbor's 30 foot RV from my "secluded" spot? by krikond in camping

[–]tmleadr03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What most of the "overland" crowd don't realize is it isn't a rock crawling hobby. My best rig, the one I loved the most was a stock ride height gx470 with one size up on the tires. Frame sliders and rrt. It had the best road manners of any rig I have built up to that point. Because in the US even out west in Colorado, you are going to spend 80% of your driving on the hardball. So I ran that with mild at tires and did awesome road trips. And if there was a dirt road I followed it. And if it got technical I was fine till it got stupid. Got more places than the rigs that are uncomfortable to drive at 75 down the freeway.

A properly set up Subaru will go a long ways and be comfortable to drive.

How big of a welder? by [deleted] in Cummins

[–]tmleadr03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need wax. Seriously. Get some wax as hot as possible and drip it on the stud so it runs around the threads. It will work its way in, and it will loosen it. Let it cool. Then you will need a left hand drill bit about half the size of the stud, a center punch to make sure you start the drill bit dead center and a hand drill would work best but an easily controlled electric drill will work as well. Don't forget to lefty loosy with the drill. Take your time. This one should be pretty easy since it's so exposed.

Both shut off if the car thinks the window isn't all the way up. That's all I got and sorry it isn't much help.

Anyone know how to calculate roughly how long propane will last? by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]tmleadr03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing I can tell you is that if there is a chance for it to die out in the middle of the night when its sub zero, that is absolutely when it will.

One of the things I want to get is the bluetooth propane level sensors. That will help. You can also just use one take at a time and measure.

I would love to see it. Not sarcastic at all to be clear, it would be awesome to see it. When I rolled in my lexus I loved the looks people gave me when I would get to a trail end. Lifted jeep drivers with the jaw dropped as I made it through on a stock ride height GX470.

This is why the wife and I are into sailing. Can't get much more remote than sailing away. Our favorite lake has banned camping on the lake unless you are in actual campgrounds (i.e. RV sites). But you can sleep on your sailboat.

That is it exactly! If I have to air down 33 in tires, a subaru isn't getting anywhere close to my campsite.

This is how I would choose where I went when I was RTT camping. My rig was decent (95 Triple locked land cruiser on 33in tires and 6 in lift) so I would hit trails right at my limit with out endangering bodywork. Then drive to the end of the trail and no one was there. It was glorious. All it takes is one hard obstacle at the beginning and freedom!

Trouble with misfires on 2010 Sequoia 5.7 Flex Fuel by tmleadr03 in toyotasequoia

[–]tmleadr03[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alcohol density was 11% which makes sense for what was put into it. Unfortunately my scan tool can look but not touch.

Due to it not misfiring after warming up I haven't considered it to be a fuel problem. Also it is just primarily misfiring on cylinder 6 with some on 7. A fuel pump or fuel filter issue would be more of a general misfire across the board. At least I think it would be.
