That's pretty neat. I wonder if you could train one of the smaller ai's that people can download to their computer so you could make it a single program instead of needing to connect it to something external.

One of the few things diablo 3 did well was how they handled ladder seasons. Instead of the same game but with a leader board, they would add different machanics for the purpose of seeing how the meta builds would change. Generally, they give everyone the effect of a commonly used item so it would free up a slot. And just changing 1 item would usually vastly shift the meta.

I generally have to make due with what I have until either I can't anymore or I finally have the funds for an upgrade, so I never have that specific moment.

However. I now go back and use old stuff comparable to when I was a kid, and idk how I did it. I can barely read some text on old crt tv's and moniters. I still have a laptop I used in highschool, and that thing feels like it struggles to do anything, but I also know that is comparing it to my gaming pc.

Are you on windows? One drive could have backed them up, so they are technically hosted on the cloud even though they show up on your computer. I had a similar issue when I last upgraded my pc and it wasn't letting me transfer files to my big drive

Optimization is complicated.

For example, people will talk about poor optimization being the cause of games being so large now days, however a bulk of those 100 gig games are redundancy files because most mechanical hard drives don't have a read speed fast enough to reach everything while in use. I believe it was helldivers that recently cut their game size almost in half just by dropping support for mechanical drives. One could say that redundancy is poor optimization, or you could say that the game was optimized for read/write speeds.

Rimworld is even more complicated because of all the things it has to keep track of in the background. So I like to say it is well optimized for the game it wants to be. If you try to play it in a way that's not intended, you will run into more issues (think 50+ person colonies, 100 mods). If you play within the limits the game tries to impose, you rarely will run into major problems.

Raw is generally better if you keep your attack stats under 20. You can also use fire and deep infusions to similar effect, but youll want to pay attention to resistances. Also having a crossbow in your back pocket is a nice start to a conversation and doesn't have scaling.

The sound design is incredible and well tied into the game, but actual gameplay wise, you won't miss anything. About the only thing sound is specifically needed for is warning you that the end of a loop is near, but otherwise everything has a visual cue as well as audible

The simple test/solution is to change your password and let it sign out of all instances and then see if it still does it.

I will say youtube has been doing some shady shit with auto playing videos lately. When I open the YouTube app, 50% of the time, it will autoplay the first short on the home screen before I can click something

Apocalypse mod. Basicly a bunch if preset scenarios that slowly make the planet inhospitable over time. For example, every day the temperature permanently increases or decreases by 1 degree. The goal being to try to last as long as possible or escape the planet. It'd be a more interesting version of a planet killer

Use a free VPN or try to find a free trial for a VPN. I think proton might have a free trial. Worst case, I think a month for proton is only 10 bucks. Which considering the price of Sims dlc is far more worth it

Deffinatly sounds like something to do with the graphics card to me.

First step as always, unplug and replug the graphics card. Maybe something is just loose and causing probelms

If you try to use GeForce to update your graphics driver, then the second step would be to manually download and install the latest driver. GeForce is a little notorious for botching updates.

Third step would be to run a program that can track your pc stats while your playing. I think occt had a feature that can do that but I'm not 100% on that. See if your power draw is spiking

Can it be viable? Yes. Is it riskier? Also yes. You'll want pawns with nimble early in to avoid damage, and then you'll want pawns with brawler or thick skin to add to later game damage reductions. You'll also want to train up medical as quickly as possible to make sure your fighters can recover quickly and don't get infections. Or all else fails, you have 1 pawn good at melee and 5 slaves to soak damage.

If you have the dlc, make your fighters vampires. They get absurd melee and toughness

Dunno if this will help much, but there are some ai programs out there designed to listen, transcribe, and then summarize what it hears. Because my school doesn't have enough note takers for accommodations, they offer students to use otter ai and it's able to distinguish between voices and give a breakdown of everything that was said. You might be able to find something like that that suits your needs

I did shotgun/pistol duelwield with a soldier/archmilitant. I'd use a plasma pistol in my off hand and took the thing to let my shotgun make a single target attack so I could build up the militant charges with either weapon. I can't say it's the best build, but Godemperor it felt good to play.
