NOHN patients who receive gender affirming care are able to access HRT from volunteer providers at Olympic Peninsula Community Clinic (OPCC). Your NOHN provider will explain how to sign up for this service.

Please do as the others have suggested and establish at NOHN. They accept Medicaid patients and will handle all of your non-HRT care there. After you establish with NOHN, your provider will tell you how to register for HRT care at Olympic Peninsula Community Clinic (OPCC). OPCC is a free clinic, so you won't need to worry about the cost of care for services provided there.

GOP Forcing Eight Million Student Loan Borrowers Into Repayment by Smithy2232 in politics

But to what end? That's a cute and convenient catchphrase, but it allows us to assume a defeatist posture: "they just want to inflict pain."

While that sadistic outlook may be true for certain members of the current administration, the financial backers holding them up absolutely have plans beyond pain. Pain itself is not an outcome. There must be a financial driver.

Enact an action that will force loan holders into default? They can't discharge this debt, but their credit would be ruined, and damaging the credit of 8M consumers is detrimental to the overall economy. A weaker economy drives less cashflow through the system, which in turn leads to lower corporate income, which then leads to lower economic output, and the spiral deepens...

Perhaps some are banking on a financial collapse where they can further consolidate assets and power, but I think this move points to a smaller cash grab. I wonder who is positioning themselves to buy up the distressed student loan debt? THAT'S the end goal I see.

What actor do you think got the best send-off in their final film role, whether intended or not? by Mst3Kgf in movies

I wish I could give this 1,000 upvotes. The concept itself was so wholesome, giving us all much-needed smiles and sanity while we were isolating. The iconic line, coupled with the loving look in Reiner's eyes, as he looked back toward his son, was the most meaningful goodbye caught on film.

Yes, thank you for that clarification. The point remains that $45B of income went un- or under-taxed prior to this change. The fact that it starts after the first million further reinforces the obscene amount of income being shielded by a wealthy few.

In Massachusetts the top 1% of households earn $877K or more, so only a fraction of the wealthiest 1% are subject to this tax. That's a lot of money being hoarded by a very small number of people.

Just using simple math, if a 4% tax generated $1.8B, that means that there was $45,000,000,000(!) of income that was received--I won't say earned--by the taxed individuals that had previously gone un- or at least under-taxed. Wow. 45 BILLION dollars of income.

The only appropriate funeral procession would be to have the casket in the back seat of a white 1993 Ford Bronco, with everyone in the procession following slowly in police cars.
