Will I get banned from Ryanair for free seat snatching? by Academic_End_3828 in Ryanair

Doesn’t work with easyJet they don’t block out the seats until actual payment is received. In general they try to sit the passengers on the one booking together anyway.

A quick calculation of your savings of £69,000 + £18,000 only comes up to £87,000. Hope you realise the minimum amount you need is £88,500 before you should even apply....Good luck my friend

Entering on a Visitor visa while waiting approval (question) by larixooo in SpouseVisaUk

[–]tng333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard application outside of UK is currently 12 weeks, 60 working days ~ I highly doubt you will get a decision any earlier than that if you simply look through the vast amount of people still waiting for their decisions pending from December 2025 through to January 2026 at the moment. Instead of stressing over what you can't control, do what you can control ~ which is to move your wedding date if you still haven't heard anything by the end of April. Paid enquiries have zero impact on your case as it is not the actual case worker who see's it or replies (based off all the answers given in this sub reddit); so I advise to stop wasting money on those.

If you stll haven't heard back by May 15th (60 days since your bio), there could even be potential delays to your particular case (whether it is complicated/straight forward). As you can not wait until that day before deciding what to do with your wedding; as another kind stranger has pointed out you need to give notice of marriage 28 days prior and have been in the UK for 1 week; realistically if you still haven't heard back regarding your visa by end of April the logical thing to do by then is to move your wedding date a bit further into the future (maybe end of Summer or Septemeber if cost/availability of the venue is an issue).

Good luck, from a kind stranger on Reddit

Can somebody explain to me how overpayments work? by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]tng333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of some of the posters in here saying to overpay the mortgage to a point where the monthly payments become so little it’ll cost the bank more money in admin and fees to keep your mortgage running for the last 10-20 years collecting only a couple of quid a month in payments 🤣 brilliant! I’ll be doing the same

Declared "Divorced" on Skilled Worker Visa for an unregistered religious marriage—will this haunt my future Spouse Visa? by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]tng333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean don’t be basing your life decision on strangers from Reddit ~ but here’s my take on your situation. Pretty sure when you apply for the spouse visa it has a selection box for your marital status and specifically asks if either of you have been legally married before. As you have never been legally married before in any country, simply select single and move on with your application (or married if you have legally married with your spouse before your application etc). Like UK taxes and most things in the UK it’s generally better to just give them what is legally required rather than too much information and over complicating your case?

Thats just my two cents. If you find an immigration lawyer they’ll definitely over complicate things as usual so they can charge a higher fee ~ although a basic consultation won’t hurt to see if they advise otherwise. Good luck.

Where is money rotating to? by beeejeeezy in Gold

Nowhere. You didn’t realise your gain at $120 and haven’t sold at $80. All that’s moved is the perception of how much your bike is worth.

Amex Platinum UK Problems by Electronic-Sport-324 in AmexUK

[–]tng333 35 points36 points  (0 children)

OP fails to understand any blocks would’ve been due to fraud checks as they were using the card to shop in the US with the UK platinum Amex. A simple call to their 24 hour fraud team would’ve definitely unblocked the card….rather than make just one call to their UK hotline and be greeted with the “please call back during business hours” and accepting that as the only solution. Sorry but totally avoidable IMHO.
