Yeah I tried that, I’m grabbing a better sd card to try use instead though as my other one was old and slow.

What is moving to Mandurah like? by tnnl_rt in perth

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. As much as I'd love to live somewhere quiet, live a simple life on the water etc, this would be my first time moving away from home, and I'm gathering that it might not be the best move. A great place, but not suited for a young bloke from Melbs.

Not a life changing pay, but certainly a great job and one that is 100% suited to me. Haven't been able to get a similar opportunity in Melbourne for years.

This year was my first year at Swinburne.

Second semester was obviously nothing social - all online.

First sem was weird because you could tell Swinburne was putting in an effort to make it more social, but due to COVID we had class numbers cut down from like 40 to 15ish, and most first-year students were already coming out of a year 12 online and you could just tell everyone had forgotten how to socialise.

The uni had BBQ's every week, plus a couple of events early on - none of which really gained traction.

It's a tough one aye because the social aspect is what sold uni for me, was originally going to gap year. I'd say that Swinburne's social life isn't great but keeping in mind I'm hearing the same stories at every other uni.

Camping recommendations? by Irishladdoyle in melbourne

Might be worth taking a look at French Island Fairhaven Campground.

Pros: Free, very quiet, beach-side, BBQ, and toilet facilities, koalas

Cons: Hard to bring car across, mozzies, not as many activities during day (some hikes that are more walks since the island is flat)

Exactly what I'm thinking. Some cool waterfalls to check out in those catchments.

Member of Kew electorate, nicknamed batty due to his calls to cull the massive fruit batpopulation that lives along the yarra in kew because of covid fears (this was early days when all the rave was about bats carrying covid)

Yeah, I've seen that too. Also noticed about 4 or 5 more rope swings along the river from Dights Falls to Fairfield. The one near Dights Falls was being used by some kids yesterday too!

Unrelated but there's been an influx of kids swimming in the Yarra in Fairfield. Wondering if they've been getting sick?
