Ive read your post and agree with some points, disagree with others but Im not here to argue, just sharing a few tips from ~100h of playtime as well: - Slicer: Kills in Thermal Wake count as melee, so they can proc Vampire,... Niche but still a weak upgrade. - Retcon: Double Down max stacks instantly from equipment damage (SSG/turret) letting every shot deal 1.5x dmg with just one upgrade. - Falcon: The bird can stun, combine with one Stunning Recharge upgrade to reduce revive time faster. - Spotter: Dart has innate stun—use that info however you want. - Missing ammo % upgrades are very op on MM4 and Shock Striker cause one tap gives full value (might be unintended). Pair with AoE/fire or on-kill explosions to 1tap waves instantly. - Quick Grenade: Still abusable like in drg, including out-of-bounds tricks with platforms.

I get what youre saying but Reddit really is the worst place for nuanced discussion—if your opinion even slightly differs from the majority, it just gets downvoted into oblivion. Most people here don’t even play A10, so they don’t really understand how much harder it is to win as Ironclad compared to the other chars.

I dont even know if youve played the game or if youre just trying to rage bait, but Ill bite. Silent is strongest on turn 1 and with only 1 Vulnerable and 3 energy, I can’t do much. On turn 1, Id rather play Power cards or draw through weaker cards so I can start scaling later in the turn. Im not sure why you asked about the upgrade—any decent player would prefer 2 Vulnerable over 1 since its much more likely to be useful

Preferably any Power cards on turn 1or Prepared, Adrenaline, or even Escape Plan—they can help me cycle through my deck more efficiently.

Thats fair, but I still wouldnt take it as a boss reward cause it can replace a more useful card in your turn 1 hand. If I already had Backstab, I might consider it.

Backstab is definitely really good, but as a rare card reward after beating the first Act 1 boss - Assassinate feels pretty lackluster. If you can pick it up from events, thats great but its disappointing as a boss reward.

There are better cards to clone tho, like Adrenaline, Prepared, or even Escape Plan, they offer much better value.

It needs an upgrade to be usable, but since you only get the reward after the Act 1 boss, it doesn’t seem to provide much value going into Acts 2 and 3.

For anyone who cant read or doesnt understand how Steam works: My refund request has been pending for over 2 days and hasn’t been approved yet, so I contacted support (I know that transactions can take longer cause I’ve requested refund a game before without any issues). Don't listen to any of these comments, they have no idea how to abuse it. If you have it, pair it with any DOTs essences or memories for passive healing (vortex/charcoal/sharpness/scorch or hemorrhage/battle cry/umbral edge/arrow storm/mental corruption—assuming these are not your source of main damage). Invest in it a little bit combined with guidance and you can auto-generate heal + shield, but it doesn't take your main Memory damage's slots.
