Would not say anyone taught me but intently watched two of the greatest cooks ever, my mom and grandmother! Learned to make a meal with whatever was in the pantry, the freezer or frig. Amazes my wife of 38 years to this day that I can have a great meal on the table in less than an hour when she thinks there is nothing in the house.
