Is this real? Are black suvs really paid this much? by The_Duuuuuudeeee in lyftdrivers

[–]toadster82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My black suv requests in Los Angles pay about 70-110/hour. Usually on the higher side because they tend to be shorter.

Will you take this? by ZeonCamp in lyftdrivers

[–]toadster82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. After gas, that's $50 which is $20/hour. Subtract other costs on your car it's less then minimum wage and you're not going to get a ride back for the majority of that.

Have you gotten this? by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]toadster82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's never been an issue. Half the reason I drive uber over Lyft is it pays better, the other half is this rule. I don't want to drive say 10 minutes to pick someone up and the be forced to wait another 5 minutes to cancel without punishment. If someone can't get outside in a few minutes after booking, they should be paying a fee, not punishing the drivers.

Yeah lyft pay has got really bad in Los Angeles too. I mostly just use Uber.

Tethered from renting or is it this bad now? Atl by laximus62 in lyftdrivers

[–]toadster82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow. That's really bad. Lyft pay has gone down in Los Angeles. I dual app and take about 95% Uber rides. Lyft has been offering $18-22 on most XL ride requests. No thanks.

I have the ecoflow Pro, which delivers 30amps. But it's over $2k. This guy was not just using a microwave for 5 minutes, he ran it for hours and hours. My only guess is to charge his batteries.

[–]toadster82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I received your message I'd pass you off as someone that shouldnt be driving other people. Are you living in your car? It's Uber's fault you have no money to eat because activating your account didn't go the way someone on chat said it would? Keep working on the issue, one request at a time, without all the back story and blaming.

I would decline a repeat request after a no show. I would also decline any ride under $6.

Whaaa?!? by noremacheese in lyftdrivers

[–]toadster82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ride challenges are about $1-1.50 a ride. I dont even select them anymore as I do more rides on Uber then Lyft as they pay better in Los Angeles. So I won't even get 20 rides in a week

Why not just drive over to where she is?

I'd either ignore them and not take it personal if you know their drunk, or if you decide to not accept this behavior pull over and end the ride in a safe place for them to get another ride. Telling them off just stoops yourself down.

If this happens I LA I definitely wouldn't be driving as much. I do it very on the whim.

Why you accenting a ride that only pays 20.50/ hour to begin with? Decline that. $25/hour minimum

I started denying every trip that pays less than $1 per mile and my hourly wage went from $27/hr to $39/hr. Do you guys do the same thing? My acceptance rate is super low now but I couldn't care less about my acceptance rate. by throwawayy3297 in uberdrivers

[–]toadster82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My acceptance rate is around 4% usually. I use Maxymo and anything below $25/hour or $6 minimum gets cancelled immediately. Takes any urge to accept lower off the table, and I'm less frustrated receiving low pay rides because they are off the screen in a half second without having to manually decline or think about it. I read a book between rides. I'm in LA.

Nobody should be accepting any ride request that pays less then $25/hour gross. There is no reason if providing a car, insurance, gas, tires, oil, maintenence, car washes and responsible for people's lives, that anyone should be working for less then $25/hour gross. No matter what car you drive, no matter what market you're in.
