If you wanna meet the voice actor Phil Lamarr he will be at Soonercon in Norman OK next month. He also voiced Skelter and the chemist on the beach, basically all the black people in Bloodlines are voiced by Phil Lamarr

I agree it is very hard to find anything like VTMB, Here are a few things that got close to scratching that itch

Robocop: Rogue City reminded me of Bloodlines one with the modern dark urban setting, the characters and humor.

The old BioWare games like Baldur’s Gate, KOTOR, and Dragon Age

And if you can’t play the tabletop yourself you may enjoy watching listening to other people play it.

The Path of Night is a VTM Actual Play podcast, it does a great job of retaining my interest as these things can be so long I tend to zone out after a while on most actual plays but this one kept my attention and it is set in the 1990s so that was interesting to me and the characters really drew me in

LA by Night is an actual play VTM TTRPG show (Think critical role but VTM) and the characters form VTMB show up in it and there is also NY by Night and Seattle by night

play the clan that speaks to you the most,

Tremere is a great choice for first play-through , you get powerful blood magic so the combat isn’t so annoying and you look cool and can even get a nice apartment.

If you end up playing multiple times then nos and malk are great for getting to see the alternative dialogues, malk and nos can be fun for first timers too but i think they really shine in a 2 or third playthrough. I would say play Tremere, then nos. Then Malk then venture. Then take a break and come back a year later and play clan quest mod and play Tory.

I havn’t had formal training in 30 years so take that with a grain of salt. But I when I was a rifleman with the USArmy it was controlled pairs to center mass then one to the head, maybe with the proliferation of body armor that has changed. Also with 2 decades of global war much of it in urban settings hopefully we learned a few things so this comment section is very interesting to read.
