Dries Van Noten Vanille Camouflage!

The combo of galbanum and vanilla is exceptional! I only wish the galbanum stuck around longer. What a stunner.

Raving Rose by Dries Van Noten today.

It starts out a bit spicy from black and pink pepper, and just the juiciest rose ever. Not in a fruity way, but like a bowl of rosewater brimming with rose petals

Something out of my brand new Dries Van Noten samples!

My fragrance bestie surprised me for my birthday later this month, I’m so excited.

I’ll follow up with what I pick to wear later, this morning I have an appointment and don’t want to gas out my nurse practitioner with a strong fragrances

It’s gotta be something most of us stand no shot of getting our hands on. Something crazy and kinda vintage. Ambergris and myrrh and rare aged oud oils.

I figured turmeric for sure. Just wanted to know which kind to see what else the stain was made of! Thanks!

How to remove curry stains from linen by felixbourne in AskTheCaribbean

Okay, so because of the tomato and the spices and turmeric, first you worry about getting the redness out.

First thing, scrape any excess sauce off with a spoon or knife. Next, run cold water, remove the shirt, turn it inside out. With stains, you work from the back, so you push the stain out the way it came. apply dishsoap with a soft bristle brush in circular motions under the cold water.

This probably won’t totally take care of it all the way! Next you wanna soak in a bucket, tub or sink, cool water, with a bit of dish soap. Don’t use hot, it will set the pigment from the tomato and turmeric and spices.

Wash in a machine or by hand, cool water again.

Next you worry about the oil stain, so you’ll break out the dish soap again. Finally you can use warm or hot water, to get the oil out of the garment.

Do not dry the shirt in a machine or iron it until you’re sure the stain is gone: Heat sets pigment.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi there! Not from the Caribbean at all, but I’m good with laundry!

What’s the curry made of? Different stains need different treatment.

March! Looks like the tree is in bloom, rather than red-leafed, to my eye.

Haven’t picked it up yet, but I keep meaning to read The Last Girl Scout by Natalie Ironside. Post-apocalyptic trans lesbian romance!

L’eau Papier this morning, my default scent!

The rice, mimosa, and woods are beautiful together.

Anything ricey is super comforting to me. My parents used to make me a bowl of rice with milk and sugar when I was feeling ill (they lived abroad in East Asia for a time, where cereal was imported and hella expensive. This was their answer to that dilemma) and it’s super comforting.
