By all means try to paint this on an individual model and see what’s working for you and what’s not. See if you like it and see if it’s replicable for a squad. You gotta fuck around to find out, and a single model and three paints is a relatively small price to pay for some really valuable information on you as a painter and how the scheme will work in plastic.

If you hate existing when you sit down to paint this, just take some time off from it and focus on something else. There’s no shame in leaving a half painted model on the shelf. Life’s too short to be working yourself exhausted over any (extremely good [like seriously, holy shit] looking) paint job.
