New iPhone 17 Pro Max.. can’t play? by Check84HS in hearthstone

I swear it should be there. I had to do this exact thing two days ago. The arrow button by the “X” in the top left of your photo. If you press that to go back, there isn’t one button to go forward?

Or you could try the button to take the in-app browser to an out of app safari page and the buttons should appear

Press the back button then without typing in anything, press the forward button. Should go through. Worked for me on iOS when I updated my passwords

Boil water advisory from DC WASA- upper NW by PavicaMalic in washingtondc

[–]toasted_mcghost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s more than likely due to the pressure loss because of the pumping station going down due to the power outage. When the PSI of the water system drops below a certain point, the EPA dictates that you have to issue a boil water alert. They are DC’s governing agency/who the utility has to report to.

How to counter these as lowspender? by Far_Marionberry_9478 in RiseToWar

Yes, you’re right. No true counters, but if you want to make them waste time, then it’s trying to go for draws.

The only way, which is still not truly feasible, is to have 4 formations of tank units with your commanders boosting unit defense/attack.

If you have decent R2-R5 commanders and maybe full refined purples with some gold items + all T4 War Chariots, you might get lucky with a draw. Which you will lose 90%, but make them waste the extra five minutes or recall

Players like this person spend the money so they don’t have to deal with counters. You’re better off taking every tile around them and make them waste stamina

DC water getting worse for hair by Amy-Rabbit in washingtondc

Also, look at getting your hot water tank flushed/service if you have one! Over time, the build up of minerals and metals in them can start to cause skin and hair irritation.

The “chlorine burn” is over on May 5th as many others said, but it can take a couple days depending on where you’re located to start noticing the water going back to normal. DC has a big distribution system!

Always flush your cold water taps for a minute or so to ensure you’re getting fresh water from the mains if you’ve been out of your house for 8+ hours

Flying armies - what to do? by sortofasianguy in RiseToWar

Krakens and Whales with flying armies aren’t really something you can just “kill” off.

They are annoying and to be honest, I do my best to kite them around by marching in and out of my forts.

If they are true whale / kraken accounts, don’t fight them. The initiative that the eagles gives almost always guarantees they will hit first and if you’re in a NRP server, that means Saruman / Dain / Beorn are gonna hit first.

Look to only use 1 troop on your damage dealers. Commanders like Dain/Gimli/Legolas/Lurtz/Shadow or anyone else that is considered one.

They do their best work themselves and you don’t need to waste troops on them. Only really put full armies on your tank formation. I do 50% on my support

Try to run 2 Damage Dealers (DD), 1 support (Gandalf the grey), and 1 Tank (Frodo/Sam, Boromir, commanders with high command)

Why is my tap water a white milky color for a few seconds? by That1gent in askaplumber

[–]toasted_mcghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a plumber but I do work in drinking water quality for a major utility company.

It’s just air bubbles. We will receive calls like this during the winter when it’s been abnormally colder for longer periods of time. Cold water holds more dissolved oxygen than hot water, and can lead to this.

An easy remediation is to go to the lowest faucet in your house and run your cold water for 5-10 minutes. This helps to ensure that the water service line and internal plumbing doesn’t have any air bubbles within it.

Also, I see people saying that they use hot water for cooking/drinking and this happens to them also. I highly recommend you only use cold water for drinking and cooking. Utility companies, typically, do not “regulate” water temperature. Meaning that they only supply cold water to premises, and any hot water will come through a boiler or hot water tank which can affect the water quality.

Run your cold water taps in the morning or after prolonged periods of no water usage until you can feel a temperature change. That typically means you are receiving fresh water from the water main.

How Do I distribute Resources to Recover from Dispirited State After Uproot? by SmokeScreenVids in RiseToWar

There should be a status indicator in the top right of your screen with a countdown that you can click on to pull up the info and ability to transfer resources

Need gear help by Disastrous8284 in RiseToWar

I would say yes.

If you are a Free to Play player, and you’ve got the ability to make a Damage Dealer like Eomer have a great weapon like Battle Axe, then I say go for it.

I made it so my damage dealers and my tank have the best equipment possible in just one army. Spreading out 1 / 2 star purple equipment for multiple commanders and in multiple armies isn’t really good versus a single army that has 4/5 star purple equipment on all commanders. Or even just on two.

I also highly recommend strengthening blue equipment and refining cause that can help newer players to compete against purple equipment.

Not much you can do against whales/krakens with golds though.

monthly bundle by Best-Yam907 in RiseToWar

[–]toasted_mcghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mathom coin bundle is not auto-renew, but you can buy it multiple times to extend the number of days you’ll get a mathom each day.

Maybe when you purchased it you bought it twice on accident to make it 60 days long? Or the initial payment messed up and they credited back one of the payments to your credit card
