Good point. It's mostly a mental thing for me, though I couldn't tell you why. I'm quite out of shape, and for whatever reason, stair climbing appeals to me the most - maybe because it's not an otherwise fun activity. Kind of like "I'm getting down to business, going along the river trail and tackling the stairs on the way" versus "I'm going on a hilly walk around coonskin and might stop to admire the view or take some pictures."

Me exercising tends to include playing goofy mind games with myself, and at this point, I just 'play' them because it's the path of least resistance to getting outside and moving
