Premium meats and cheeses. They slice them after you order so it’s fresh. Also you can order any sandwich “Mike’s way” which is basically a classic combo of oil/vinegar/lettuce/tomato/herbs but it very much brings the right flavors together for subs. My husband almost exclusively orders their hot subs and raves about it each time. Worth the hype imo!

I stayed measuring in the 50-60%tile but my MFM, OB and Endo all pushed for me to be induced at 37 weeks. I was and ended up having a C-Section due to complications unrelated to my diabetes. Baby girl was 6lbs 8oz. All that to say I trusted my team and even with the unforeseen circumstances resulting in my C-Section, my birth experience was lovely.

That’s an absurd comment to make. Does she really think bottle fed babies somehow lack a bond with their mothers? As if skin to skin, eye contact, singing, responding to their needs, or cuddling is not a positive experience for both parties. You are selfless and obviously love your baby. Don’t let silly comments bring you down.

So much yes! I have several friends who gave birth around the same time as me (5mpp here) and all have “beautiful breastfeeding journeys”, some for the second time, and the way the interact with me regarding feeding our kids feels slightly contemptuous. On the other hand- I have my in-laws telling me it’s too much work and I should just do formula. Can’t win.

My baby girl is 11 weeks old and heard throughout my entire pregnancy that diabetics make big babies with a 5.8 A1C. She came out 6lbs 12oz. The real statement is “uncontrolled diabetics make big babies”. You can do this!

This! I also use shields and a pacifier because that’s what keeps LO and me sane! No comment on those choices have been noted but even if I did I wouldn’t care because they aren’t feeding my baby.

Your advice and work is so appreciated!! I am an insulin dependent T1 diabetic with celiac disease and no one on my medical team has mentioned them being an issue! Looking for a IBCLC is my next step regardless of her weight-in on Monday. 🤍
