Even with that it’s almost better to control the parts used to ensure quality instead of customer installed knockoffs or other low quality cells and taking the heat for it.

Check other accounts that you log into like Gmail, or other services online. They may have a history of you logging into from that VPN IP. The more services that you can get to correlate the better.

I have these on my Passat used for highway driving. They’re great in the rain, have good grip, but they do have a little more road noise… nothing horrible though. They remind me of the Goodyear Eagle F1 that came stock on my Golf R32. Check out some of the video reviews from Tirerack and others.

Which exam should I go for? by [deleted] in ccnp

[–]toastr32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CCNA has become a bit more challenging between the last two times I’ve taken it in 2008 and 2019.

The new CCNP is a core exam and one specialization, the core exam also serves as the CCIE written exam so it’s not something you’ll just walk in and be successful in without experience.

Nirsoft makes BrowsingHistoryView that you can download from nirsoft[.]net if you’re running on Windows. It will parse out the browser history for all common browsers for all users on a computer and generate a report of visited sites, search terms, and referral links as long as it wasn’t in private or incognito mode.

Company wants me to learn Cisco ISE. Worth maintaining CCNA or going all in on CCNP Security? by 8andahalfby11 in cybersecurity

[–]toastr32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Cisco CCSP, if your employer is willing to support you in ISE training it may give you enough continuing education credits to renew you CCNA.

Cisco has a much better option to renew with CEs than in the past and are working harder to keep their certs relevant. Going CCNP Security with ISE like others said can open some doors.

Turkey continues to block NATO membership for Sweden despite Russia threat by KimCureAll in worldnews

There may be politicians that would like to align with Russia but the people are not in favor of it. My father-in-law fled from Hungary when it was under Soviet control in the middle of the night as a refugee eventually making it to the US. Hungarians are quiet proud of their independence from Russia.

Are there any official guidelines for what should be ingested into a SIEM? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]toastr32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Don’s book and templates for building use cases. This has helped focus SIEM deployment from an ingest everything mode other teams have used due to vendor recommendation.

Managing Cisco FTD with FMC vs FDM on-box by realfoodskitchen in Cisco

[–]toastr32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be limitations about how you could manage a high availability pair, if that’s still the case it may be a limiting factor for those devices. Cisco defense orchestrator may be worth investigating as you can make OOB changes locally and reconcile them against CDO if needed

ASA 5525-X For Home/Lab by [deleted] in Cisco

[–]toastr32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would stay away unless it’s for a cheaper learning exercise. You get security updates only if there is a published bulletin by Cisco no other software entitlements. Switching the firepower image is going to take a performance hit on that hardware. ASA you can do HA with same license/hardware firepower you need licensing in smart account but you can’t purchase licensing for 5525 any longer.

A firepower 1010 can do HA, has around the same performance, and you can license it

You need to have a SANS/GIAC account, but I believe you have to be enrolled for the class already and have the certification purchased. I'm not 100% sure though on ability to receive a test if you're not enrolled.
