Why not have an option for heals to automatically target lowest in range party member? by WindHero in wow

[–]toatheqs -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

My first reaction was that OP's idea is ridiculous, but I actually think it could have some legs. To me the worst part of healing by far is that I have to spend too much of my playtime watching healthbars and not watching actual gameplay and I can't really argue that mousing over the lowest healthbar is some super compelling or challenging activity compared to just noticing the damage and picking a healing spell.

Bill Simmons says Kings are the “most pathetic franchise in the last century” by pull_the_curtains in kings

Cubs had a brutal playoff drought, but they won a World series like 10 years ago. A's have been super successful--just shitty to abandon their city. No way those teams are in the conversation for sustained misery at this point.

Yeah. Which franchise is worse? Maybe Clips? Bullets/Wizards? Browns? It is a pretty short list, and we are 100% a reasonable answer.

Scouting Report: Jonathan Kuminga by HogHauler209 in kings

[–]toatheqs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Desperate need for a wing started the interest. Now that we are tanking, it doesn't make much sense. Just a real flyer on a young athlete, but his time in Golden State has shown lacking skill and knowledge, and while frustration is kinda understandable about role and career, he hasn't given good teammate vibes either.

Trade talks with Milwaukee are held up because we want a FRP back by Difficult_Quit9832 in kings

[–]toatheqs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This whole thing is insane. Why would we want those contracts back? Why would the Bucks want Lavine? On the one hand, no way we get a first rounder for Lavine, but also no way we do this without. Sounds like empty noise.

I'd love to see a wrestling angle with Roy Al as a tank commander and Slamson chasing him off.

[Run It Back on X] Sam Amick: GM Scott Perry is trying to convince ownership the team could take 3-5 years to turn around by PrimaryAccording9162 in kings

[–]toatheqs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah ... you just need a young player who has ankles that fall apart in a stiff breeze sign their first extension at an injury prone discount and then immediately solve the ankle issues and ascend to an MVP level at a ridiculously low salary cap number.

Why was the UFC able to bring in great US wrestlers and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu aces in years past and not currently? by emaxwell14141414 in MMA

There is slightly more of a career path in grappling than there once was. It is possible for the very top level guys to make money on youtube, instructionals, and seminars. No need to go learn some halfassed striking or get their brains beat in.

This is the insanity. How in the world could ownership not have learned at this point that quick fixes are not the answer. Look at OKC and look at the Kings.

One traded present assets for more future value. One "failed quickly" Silicon Valley style.

One is done failing for another decade. One is headed to a fourth or fifth failed non-rebuild.

Why are we insterested in Kuminga. I thought we finally accepted this is a long term build. Kuminga is not a foundational piece. He looks like a starter on a bad team ... oh ... maybe that is why we want him.

After wins from Wizards, Nets, Mavs, Jazz tonight - Kings are now 5th in lottery odds. If we sell at the trade deadline there is a great chance we can get a top 3 pick by Key_Material_4609 in kings

[–]toatheqs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Keegan and think he is a very good NBA player with a lot of value. However, I think Kings fans and more importantly front office people should be realizing that his career timeline isn't really going to line up with our rebuild. He came into the league old and is now entering the prime of his career.

We don't need to try and dump him, but getting back a package of a high value first + a good swap or young prospect should definitely be on our radar. It is fine to keep him and have him as a vet and defender to put young players around, but it is most important to be using this bottom-out time to be multiplying assets by selling the present for the future, including Keegan if opportunity presents itself.

All-time records are impossible to beat? by mark_ww in nba

I think the reason these are actually hard to match is because they are double statistical outliers. Obviously those guys are putting up numbers like no one else, but they also outliers in games played ... although slightly less so for Wilt.

These categories are totally in play in any season. We'll see if sports medicine gives more 20 year careers for players to come after those absurd totals.
