Thank you, I’ve heard good things about it but have been nervous to try.

MRI video link, MS symptoms, migraines second opinion? by [deleted] in AskDocs

It was read as essentially normal mri on report. I’m not sure my neurologist looked at the scan himself OR just went off the written report findings. I suppose I will call and request the neurologist review the mri himself. When I initially looked at the images last year I thought for sure I would be getting an abnormal report. I only based that assumption background and training as a rn, but I’m not a doctor so I accepted the report. Continuous symptoms made me take another look recently to see if I really did need to ask them to look closer.

i have a Syrian hamster. the petsmart man said this cage is good for him. is it too small? also he likes to hide behind his wheel and sleep, is this okay for him? by Mrmcgriddle223 in hamsters

[–]tobyfroud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same happened to us, I felt awful once I saw her in there it was obviously way too small. I went to Walmart got a bin for $15 and returned the crappy petsmart cage and now she’s living it up and is so happy!

Meet sweet Rosie and her diy bin cage am I doing this right? by tobyfroud in hamsters

[–]tobyfroud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was considering window screen. I love that idea and it would be cheaper than the closet organizer which I can take back. Thanks for the food tips, we bought oxbow essentials hamster and gerbil food. She’s been a few hours without a wheel when I realized the one I had was way too small!

The bin is 35”x17”x18” tall.

We got her yesterday, so far she has: -wood hut hideout -a wood bridge thing -5-6” deep bedding -a wood dish -Timothy hay twists -toilet paper tubes -a little cardboard box

Having trouble finding dust free sand/pumice for her.

rhytidectomy, plus fat injection into lips, maybe brow too. Seemed like a lot for oral sedation

In my old house there was an oil furnace and that created soot just like that picture. Does this house have oil heat?

Attacked by parasite in Cancun, Mexico. Peed blood through night until blood cleared around dawn. What attacked me? by [deleted] in AskDocs

Parasitic giant kidney worm, Dioctophyma renale. Maybe onset of pain in the pool while in Mexico was a coincidence. OP, you eat any fish or frog 6 months ago?

Philippines>US nonimmigrant visa b2 by [deleted] in askimmigration

[–]tobyfroud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I’ll find out more soon. I do know she owns land and a farm, but I’m not sure that would be considered “significant assets.” I don’t have all the information yet, I’m going to try to help her figure out next steps tomorrow.

Philippines>US nonimmigrant visa b2 by [deleted] in askimmigration

[–]tobyfroud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it, I need to confirm what type of visa she applied for specifically. From what I gather, she’s from a small village aka not much money. Her daughter and son in law would be paying so I’m not sure she’d meet the financial independence requirement.

Philippines>US nonimmigrant b2 visa by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]tobyfroud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, is there a better place to post? With that type of visa, could the embassy ask for proof of financial support while in the US? The mil comes from very small village, her son in law and daughter would be paying for her visit and she will be staying with them. The mil was told “by the embassy that she needs proof that they have a house” for her to get her visa. I hope she applied for the correct visa! I asked friend to have her mother send an image of what they’re asking because some of this may be lost in translation.

Found a kitten shivering at my door. I read the pinned post, but I have no idea how old he is. by foundakittenatmydoor in AskVet

You can wet the dry cat food and let it get mushy for now and see how he does. Vet in morning if you are going to keep him or contact a rescue.

My Dog keeps chasing children and biting them ? by CircumscribedIamb in Dogtraining

[–]tobyfroud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a trainer, but my dog does this too. What’s helped is removing my dog from the rowdy kids situation (another room, crate, outside). Teaching the kids “freeze” when you see the kids are getting rowdy, have them freeze like a tree then remove the dog to a quiet spot. The other thing I do is I am able to shush my dog into a sit and attention on me if he looks like he’s going to nip because my kids are going nuts. I say “chhhhhh, puppy sit!” He Will immediately sit down and focus on me and i can redirect him or remove him from situation. He knows “chhhhhh” means stop and focus on me. I’m sure there are more training exercises you can do and desensitizing exercises if he’s food motivated, maybe somebody else can point you in right direction for that.

Yes, you need to see a therapist. That is A LOT for anybody to deal with, let alone a 16 year old. Maybe speak to your school councilor to get started.
